The comment did not state that the iPhone was the worlds first smartphone, rather that since the release of the first 'iPhone' (again not first smartphone, for those to whom this may all be a bit too complicated) it has become the standard and basis against which the majority of subsequent smartphones designs have been derived.

there are some reasons for the sell off (or a dip)
most sellers might not be satisfied with the iphone 12 lineup and "anticipate" that it wont sell based on projections...
or those sellers might be short term traders who "sell on news" and would observe how the sales would go...
the last quarter of 2020 report of profit for apple will happen next year... if the phone lineups will be selling more than the previous iterations, then it might reach another ath...

battery life looking worse than 11 series
they showing off they 1080p screen on iPhone 12 like no other phone has that

They say that in "real world performance"... moreanswer this then, why does Apple want to have a profit margin of 40-50% (sometimes even more) on their iPhones whereas Android phone makers have profit margin in single digits? What does Apple provide that justifies duping customers like this? Why was the iPhone XS Max, which cost apple $450 per phone to manufacture, being sold for $1250?

IPhones are notorious for throttling in the past as they have no cooling system.

Then they use antutu to back up their claims. Trust me, the minute antutu puts iPhones at a higher score than androids, the apple haters gonna question it's reliability the same as they do with geekbench. The minute geekbench ranks androids much higher, their "reliability" will instantly shoot up.
These android bois are basically trapped in their own confirmation bias and try and argue with us.

Considering the evolution of processors, we are much near the top of innovation mountain (i.e.we have already developed processors to the extent of 99-99.3%) so from now on whatever processor you take whether it be Qualcomm or Apple chips or any other chips, the improvement will be of very small fraction like under 15%.
Newest processor obsession will leave a hole in your pocket.
Do your electronic device purchases wisely.

Yes it might not be such a performance upgrade but keep in mind it's smaller and more power efficient. I don't like what has been doing ,from the iphone 6 until now, with the phones lineup, but you have to admit they do make good processors.

[deleted post]People buying iphones isn’t because they are stupid, but because they are used to using ios their whole life. Like me, I love ios so much. Even samsung slash the price of their galaxy s20 to $500, I wouldn’t still buy it because of the android OS.
