It's nice to see that at least someone isn't going for insane screen sizes. Galaxy S3 is idiotically enormous and i wouldn't want it even for free. Galaxy S2 is the max size i'll ever want to have.

I was actually expecting an august release and a 4" to 4.1" screen but I guess 3.9" is enough.

I can't imagine how blunt people are to say that apple is outdated because it manufactures a phone w/a screen size that is smaller than a 4.3" and above. i mean, hello? wtf!?

a phone is still a phone people. sure, a bigger screen has it's advantages like a better choice for watching vids and a larger view (obviously) but it's still just a phone. I don't want a huge chunk of tech wrecking my pockets.

if you want a bigger screen, get a tablet, a pc 9or mac), or a tv, not a phone.

i never heard anyone wishing for phones to be big again.

I had an iPhone 4S, before I sold it since I got too bored with it - not much of a difference from my iPod Touch 1st Gen, except that it's way faster.

Apple should go back to the drawing board. If I were to make decisions, they should use what they're known for - the Mac OS X. They should now evolve the iOS to a mini version of their Mac OS. This should get their sales up. Also, don't discount the fact that people get tired of the same looking phones. I mean c'mon, from the 3G to 3GS then from 4 to 4S. They should be more innovative when it comes to the design.

i would suggest that 3.9 for a phone is enough. if you need a bigger screen go for tablets not for phones. thats why its realsing mini ipad aswell, for those who like it bigger but smaller

AnonD-27987, 30 Jul 2012hmm...thats kind of...a weird screen resolution isnt it?It's only weird in the sense that it isn't a typical resolution but the aspect ratio is 16:9 which is more than common enough so it's really just a scaling thing. That said it's a lower resolution than most of it's competitors so they aren't off to a good start. The smaller screen will mask some of the difference but then again people will notice the smaller screen...

Cell phones should be like Cell and not Pad. People carrying 4.3 or above looks really very stupid. Cell Phones should not be more than 4, as it is easy to handle and use it.

ifans... no need to upgrade with your current iphones, they still look the same and no one will see the difference.

Apple is losing what it used to stand for when Steve Jobs was there: Surprising the audience! But I don't think so that is the case anymore! It spills the bean much before it is released! Bloody sad!

I expected Apple not to go with a much larger screen as galaxy and htc phones. Dont know why. 3.9 inches is still not big enough in this age, while we have over 4.5 inches screen. I have galaxy s2 i feel 4.3 inches screen is small at times. I hope apple comes up with over 4 inch screen for iphone 5. I wanna buy it!

If the new Iphone will have 3.9 inch screen, then Apple is crazy. :P We are in 2012 lol, not in 2009. Every company makes phones with big and huge screens, because this one of the things people want. Wake up Apple!

Apple is feeling the pressure. Now they are moving faster with their releases. I hope that dose of healthy competition makes them keep the faster pace the rest of the tech industry follows. An early iPhone is more than welcome!
