Anonymous, 22 Oct 2020The editor obviously has no idea about anything IEM related... moreThe only reason GSM arena covering this news (despite their lack knowledge, let alone expertise on this product category) is just because this product was released under a phone-maker brand.

The editor obviously has no idea about anything IEM related as
      1. These are wired, practically all IEMS are because they need the power
      2. This is definitely not the most expensive in its form factor. Shure, Sennheiser, etc. sell multi THOUSAND dollar IEMS.

Please stick to what you guys review, or at least please get a person who knows what they are talking about

        They're similar to my Blon.

The shell looks very identical to fiio fd1/fh1s. BTW calling balanced armatures sub woofers is a bit wrong.

"the Meizu UR Live Special Edition are among the most expensive products in this form factors"
            NO. THEY. ARE. NOT.

Greg, 19 Oct 2020Aren't these just rebranded KZ earphones? Not to say ... moreDefinitely not a KZ rebrand...

These have Knowles BAs, and the way they are built are more closer to FiiO than KZ.

ALSO, GSMARENA, these are not Wireless 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Wireless you say? I clearly can see they are wired earphones using BA drivers.

Made in China sweatshop and cost $5

What battery life? This is a wired earphone, IEM. It has no battery in it :) Those in the picture are BA drivers. 4 of them, which you didn't mention too :)

"all about sound quality and nothing about battery life"
:) battery life would depend on your source, e.g. DAP or phone. The IEM is unlikely to make your phone run longer....

The post said subwoofer, wonder whether this is a pure BA or hybrid setup.

Maybe, this is not right product for a news at GSMArena.

"Starting at CNY 1,299 ($195), the Meizu UR Live Special Edition are among the most expensive products in this form factors."
That is far from most expensive. There are many in-ear monitors costing more than $1,000 and some enthusiast editions even at $5,000.

"all about sound quality and nothing about battery life"
This in-ear monitor is wired. There is no Bluetooth or any wireless transmission with the included cable.

There is a whole world out there concerning Chinese-hifi in-ear-monitors ('chifi' IEMs). This seems to come with a bunch of Knowles-branded balanced armatures. Don't know the details of these Meizu, but for that price you can purchase (from Aliexpress) much better magnetoplanar IEMs: "TRI I3", or exceptionally good BA IEMS like "ISN H40", or outstanding quality but cheaper Knowles BAs: Audiosense T300 or TinHifi T3. You can buy even really good earphones from as low as thirty bucks: Auglamour T100.
I personally recommend the TRI I3... they are worth much more than they cost.
                                    Regards.

Those look quite good. I bet they sound good too.

KZ Audio/KZ acoustics products are a killer for this style in terms of build quality and price to performance. Not sure why meizu priced this so high
