9P lens goodness.

Nick Tagataka, 19 Oct 2020Sorry, that still doesn't make a lot of sense. Even if... moreWhy do you people do that?

You wants your favorite fan brand separated from the rest but when shady business practice arise, you people go all defensive and say basically:

"But Apple, and other American company's does it too" BS!

Isn't the anti-haters suppose to be distinguishing from the rest?

    Bahahaha!

Nick Tagataka, 19 Oct 2020Even if it was not a liquid lens tech obviously it won'... moreThe company that got caught 3 times using Full Frame to pretend photo was from the phone. Easy to doubt ....

Like the other that use two batteries charged at 32,5 but advertise 65W like they were using 1 battery with real 65W charging.

Leica, Zeiss, Sony, Nikon, Canon, Sigma, Tamron, Panasonic, Fuji, Hasselblad and Ricoh.
None of them has liquid lenses.
Be sure the barely known small company that supplies Huawei will not come up with it.

Distortion is physics. It is impossible to get rid of it.
Otherwise, the fisheye would not exist.

By the way, liquid lenses in theory would change FOV, not give distortion free photo.

[deleted post]Do you even know how the industry calculate this so-called No. 1 No. 2, etc. nonsense?

It is not from these company's best phones line-up, Einstein. It's from the most UNITS SHIPPED VOLUMES ONLY INCLUDING THEIR $100 PHONES!

Of course, you'll have Asian companies numbers higher selling CHEAP phones compared to the best.

          Bahahaha!

Nick Tagataka, 19 Oct 2020Even if it was not a liquid lens tech obviously it won'... moreDon't listen to him perhaps he's new to Huawei unbeatable innovations. I can't wait for Huawei's new set of innovations on photography

                Just like other do.

Liquid lens are not even available for professional cameras.
No way any cellphone maker spends tons of money on it.
All will keep using plastic lenses.

Basically an indication of distortion-free UWA lens with a rumoured new liquid lens tech. I hope they will keep the large sensor..

NotAnOpinion, 19 Oct 2020All Huawei articles are teasers NOT LEAKS like that article... moreSorry, that still doesn't make a lot of sense. Even if it was an intentional leak by the company, isn't it literally what everyone (especially likes of Google or Apple) does nowadays? And Mate series' announcement has been always after iPhone announcement, I suspect there's not much of your "fruit company" involved here let alone Huawei's "jealous" PR team lmfao.

Anonymous, 19 Oct 2020Idk man, it seems like just a regular teaser to me.All Huawei articles are teasers NOT LEAKS like that article suggested - "Detailed Huawei Mate 40 Pro *MASSIVE LEAK* describes 12 MP 5x zoom cam, 6.76" display"

All those pictures, specs, etc. a suspicious leakster revealed that much info without Huawei being angry denouncing such a SECURITY BREACH?! GTFOH!

That's no leak, that so-called leak came right from Huawei sad marketing strategy 101 to draw and steal Apple's roaring headlines.

Anonymous, 19 Oct 2020They are teasers, but how así the marketing team jealous?I don't know, perhaps, when your highest sales numbers are majority from your entry-level to mid-tier phones and your flagship phones sells sadly less compared to a fruity company that its highest-end phones sellout before it even hit retail stores shelves GLOBALLY, nah, Huawei, Xiaomi, etc. love to read those headlines.

                          Bahahaha!

They gave up on the 40Mp cine lens as the FOV was just embarrassing to be called an Ultrawide.
