Admit it, Google never obliged you to use Google as your default search engine and Google Chrome as your default browser. Google doesn't need to pay billions to be the default search engine because simply they are. And also, y'all have to admit that after installing Windows OS, the first thing you do is go to Internet Explorer(Windows OS default) search on Google to download Google Chrome.

It's reasonable to have Google as the majorities' search engine since the majority use Google Chrome as their default browser and uses Android OS(by google) as the majorities' phone OS. They simply go with the saying "Love your own". That simple.

Why didn't the allmighty Antitrust Department sue the poisoned apple for restricting use of third party browsers and e-mail clients in their OS?

This just doesn't make any sense at all. Like what do you want? BING, Duckduckgo, OPERA to be your default browser in google chrome (which is still optional actually since chrome lets you use different search engine other than google)? Point is, google has been the most reliant search engine even out there which provides you with if not accurate, the closest topic or information that you want to know where other search engine would require you an almost exact point for your search query. Why ruin such a great service due to poorly constructed program from others who can't keep up with the competition? Plus let's face it, if not all, almost every one across the world has google as their default search engine since it provides you with nearly accurate results in seconds.

just a random example, searched on google, bing and duck duck go for the term 'that one movie where tom cruise jumps into pool'

All 3 reported the color of money as the top result.

Googles second link is a article describing the stunt of Tom Cruise diving into the pool in Rogue Nation. Googles first recommended video is the scene in Rogue Nation where Tom Cruise dives into the pool. This is what I wanted to see.

Bing doesn't report a single link to the Rogue Nation stunt on its first search page, but includes links to Tom Hanks jumpign shirtless into a pool and Tom Cruise jumping of a plane with James Corden. The scene I searched for is not among the first 3 rows of video results on Bing and there are no video result that has anything to do with a swiming pool among the videos.

DuckDuckGo does not list anything about Tom Cruise jumping into a pool among its first search page. Various links to Tom Cruise's IMDB and other movies appear. Not a single search result even hits Rogue Nation. Among the first 4 rows of videos standardly display there is not a single video of Tom Cruise diving into a pool, all videos however include Tom Cruise doing alot of other things.

Google just works, that's why I use it....

I agree both. Paying others to set as default is anticompetitive but I also agree that most people use Google not because they are forced because it's just better
