YUKI93, 23 Oct 2020Seriously, how come a brand new phone that is only launched... moreMaybe because the phone is just launched to the GENERAL PUBLIC
But has been in the hands of DXO etc for weeks...

Dont Believe in DXO its a Chinese funded organization. They are hired to de fame samsung and lame iphones. I is to follow DXO until when I found truth from my experience.
I had p40 pro and note 20 ultra snapdragon. I compared all the photos taken on both the phones and find out note 20 ultra is superior in almost in every segment except for 108mp camera.
So if p40 pro they give 132, note 20 ultra snapdragon must deserve higher score than that. Later on I started investigating in their test results and find out this is a Chinese funded company. Such a disgrace

if they put autofocus on the front camera on the p40pro, they could also on this phone, which costs 1300e, the pictures with the autofocus are far better,

ASUS ROG Phone 3, 23 Oct 2020I have Sony A6300 & RX100 IV. But carrying a mobile for... moreSame situation here. Own a Fuji X-E3 and mostly I just use it for serious job or when I got spare time, considering u have to carry a backpack for it.
This all in one smartphone camera, with great point & shoot capabilities, makes me want to shoot daily, keeps upgrading my skill everytime, be it outdoor or with the family. Love my Mate 20, and will definitely upgrade to Mate 40. In fact in my instagram, most of it shot with it.

Nick Tagataka, 23 Oct 2020I strongly agree with the colour reproduction part. If the ... moreMostly agreed. But because their Auto mode now works better than Night Mode, I couldnt care less about it. Yes 50mp Ultra Clarity should be provided.
The non-OIS on the vanilla & Pro, well thats bad move, Huawei. (Eventhough overall results still great, it could be better for the price you paid).

YUKI93, 23 Oct 2020Seriously, how come a brand new phone that is only launched... moreUsually big branded company gave them a week earlier the device to do the review before the launching. Reveal the results upon launching (yesterday) to hype things up. Thats marketing.

Seriously, how come a brand new phone that is only launched yesterday can already receive such high ratings?

It has the same camera setup as p40 pro maybe plus, so how it can beat the mi 10 ultra ? And by that much ?
THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE

As expected! This phone has become my dream phone, This is nearly perfect, only issue is the curved display with a fugking cutout. It's time to bring 3:2 mode on camera app.

Hey Google, are you listening to me?
Just look at these companies.. they're really innovating with ryyb sensors, largest sensors, gimbal stabilization n much more.. n still u lazy companies r using same sensors fr 3yrs. Ur country is running out of new ideas n you're bashing n banning other companies fr stealing data n all... I'm saying to google cos they've grt software n can really complete in market.

I always heard from ppl that Huawei phones r not gimmicky or do not get boring with tym.
Interestingly without gms this phone won't sell too much outside of China still it got all limelight (it deserves) yesterday n literally overshadowed many phones(even which released just a week ago). Ppl were commenting on Huawei articles n hardly 10-15 comments on Xiaomi n Oneplus. Lol.

Boggy-Stefy, 23 Oct 2020If you are a camera geek, yeah Huawei is the best there is.... moreI have Sony A6300 & RX100 IV. But carrying a mobile for social occasions and taking good quality pictures with people, and share it in the closed groups immediately etc....there is nothing more convenient than mobiles. Carrying DSLR everywhere is a nightmare and you need to be extra careful if they are not weather sealed. I am not a professional taking pictures for living. Majority like me love taking casual photos with good IQ. I feel Mate 40 Pro & Pro+ if we can get it for $800 without Mobile Network & GMS, we can buy it. I have recently disposed Mate 20 Pro after nearly used for 2 years, fetched amazing resale value, very very silky performance....

Shui8, 23 Oct 2020Look at how good the samples quality are....colors on RYYB ... moreYeah, I'm insanely impressed. This is easily the best camera I've seen on a phone. The colors are true to life and that sharpness is just perfect

Boggy-Stefy, 23 Oct 2020If you are a camera geek, yeah Huawei is the best there is.... moreI used to carry a DSLR (Canon) with me back in the days when phone cameras weren't as competent. Even then it was a hassle carrying the heavy camera, filters, spare battery, cleaning equipment and maybe an extra lens. Nowadays, phone cameras pack in more focal lengths than I ever had back in the day and the quality is good enough that I don't miss my DSLR. Of course, if you're a professional photographer, you shouldn't just pack a phone, but just for an ordinary joe, a phone with decent cameras is just fine and much less hassle to carry around.

really nice stuff. though... at some, rumoured, 1.2k euros... i think i'll just keep with my 675 euros xperia 5II. does the some job as the x 1 II, and with a little bit of photoshop post processing i get the pretty same results, if not better, as with an 1.2k device... for the selfie camera, well... i couldn't care less... matter of tastes and interests. yet, for those who want to invest that amount, it's a nice piece of tech.
funny, for the x 5II and the canon G7X together (vacations and photo hunting sessions, when i carry both of them) i paid some 1.3k, a tad over the huawei. but the results... come on... :)
