Android Authority, 28 Oct 2020Gsmarena reviews said it was a downgrade compared to the P4... moreRight now details seem to suffer from quite a lot of artifacts as well (on UWA). I hope they'll fix the issue through the software update.

AnonD-923722, 28 Oct 2020Same size, bigger pixels, better processing. Sure, it lose... moreThe new UWA sensor has 1.6µm pixels so they are a lot smaller now (4.48µm equivalent pixel pitch of P40 Pro vs 1.6µm of Mate 40 Pro), although there's a chance that it's even smaller if the new sensor uses Quad Bayer structure, which is indeed possible given its real-time 4K60 triple exposure EDR video recording capability.

Sure, it loses the 1920 fps slow mo, but most uses slow mo at 240fps until 960fps and they are better quality. This year's ultrawide also records HDR video thanks to the Kirin 9000. The photos it took were better than the 40 mp sensor one, which is weird considering the smaller pixel size. But what matters is results, not specs

Android Authority, 28 Oct 2020Gsmarena reviews said it was a downgrade compared to the P4... moreAs far as i remember, they said it's a downgrade on paper because they didn't know the actual sensor size by then ( you know 40>20), but the actual picture quality review said it was great and sharper than last year's

AnonD-923722, 28 Oct 2020I have some questions 1. Does it Have OIS? The main came... moreNote that this year's mate 40 pro version are so different from it's siblings and even from other mate 40 pros, because Huawei couldn't find enough supplies and components so they had to compromise some things (mate 40 pro 128Gb version haveonly an 8mp pirescoop sensor) so no one can really know these answers 100%.
1- no it does not, only the pro+ ( fortunately the camera crops from 23mm to 27mm so there's something like ois to work with)
              2- yes
              3- yes
              4- idk
5- a normal earpiece, rather than the vibrating one on the previous versions

I am going by their word. I haven't tested the phone in person.

Android Authority, 28 Oct 2020How big is the size of the Ultrawide sensor? I know it... moreThe same size, but final results different pixel size because its a 20mp sensor, at 1.6 micron. Previous P40 & Mate 30 pixel binned to 10mp, therefore resulting about 2.2 micron.

Android Authority, 28 Oct 2020How big is the size of the Ultrawide sensor? I know it... moreAnd btw it's an upgrade not a downgrade, the 40mp sensor was a quad bayer, so it's actually just a 10mp sensor, while this one is a native 20mp sensor.
The 4k videos on the old 40mp ultrawide were actually upscaled so it wasn't that sharp plus that camera could've shoot 1980fps at 720 because there wasn't enough pixels to push, while this 20mp can shoot only 960fps

Android Authority, 28 Oct 2020How big is the size of the Ultrawide sensor? I know it... more1/1.54 and 1.6 micron per pixel
                      So the same size

How big is the size of the Ultrawide sensor?
I know it's a downgrade compared to the 40mp Ultrawide on p40 pro.

                          easy to repair?

                            Hmmm how interesting 🧐

                                I have some questions

                                1. Does it Have OIS? The main camera on the website says it doesn't have

                                2. Is there an cooling system?

                                3. Is there an 3D TOF Module on the rear?

                                4. Is the battery split into 2 just like other brands to achieve the super fast charging speeds?

                                5. How does the speaker and earpiece looks like compared to the P40 pro that uses display vibrating earpiece tech?

Tell this to apple user. He needs to replace all phone when repairing :)
