Nick WHO, 28 Oct 2020The smartphone market really leaks innovation. But you still change your phones every year or two, while you keep your TV for at least 3 years, and your laptop or PC for at least 5 years.

Lacking innovation, huh?

GaushikTECH Nerd, 28 Oct 2020They are repeating the same mistakes:( They are releasing ... morePretty much the only difference is the RAM configuration.
At least they don't ask $500 more for the same variant that's just revised to have a Porsche logo on the back, or maybe a 24K analog clock on the back, or perhaps a Thome Brown piece of cloth attached to the back of the phone.

I never know about that...

Jack Frost, 28 Oct 2020Maybe for editing videos taken with Cinema Pro 🤔Cinema pro uses HLG.
It needs gradation and other kinds of edition.
Not supposed to be used right after recording.
No mobile app can do this kind of editing.

Nick.B, 28 Oct 2020If one don't play heavy games he does not need 12 gigsNot even playing.
No games uses more than 0.8GB ram while open.

                It’s important for future proofing

Despite being a sony fan for years, I’d say
                  OLD NEWS SONY!
Released late and people already forgot your product

A 512GB internal storage variant (like what the Galaxy Note9 used to offer) would be so much more useful, especially with slow microSD card readers in Xperia phones that have speeds far lower than the UHS-1 standard.

                          I

Sony just needs to admit failure and sale their mobile phone sector to either Google, Amazon or Apple (Apple can benefit from Sony's 4K display tech, etc).

In Taiwan it is cheaper than iphone 12 pro 256GB.

They are repeating the same mistakes:(
They are releasing new RAM variants for the mobile instead of marketing the actal mobile and develop on it! I love Sony so much but this kind of news are beyond stupidity

I don't see any major improvements of 12GB over 8GB, Just we have to pay extra bucks for satisfiction that we own a phone with 12GB ram, lol
