28 October 2020
Samsung supposedly stopped security updates for the S7 duo back in April.

Reading this article on my S7, I instantly opened the settings to check for the new update but no, I'm still on the January one, I didn't the March one as well. I have the Exynos version.

I bought a S7 and loved it, that is until i dropped it from knee height after just 4 months and despite being in a heavy duty case with screen protector the display got damaged. Not cracked but had flickering lines across the screen.

Then 18 months later I received a software update notification and after allowing it to update my S7 bricked itself. The motherboard was replaced under warranty but i lost everything.

A year after that the battery started to over heat and started to bulge pushing the back cover off. I was able to replace it but had enough at this point.

Samsung gave me £119 trade in for it against an S10 but that bad experience almost put me off their fones.

            Finally something for S7 users

I wonder why Samsung is doing this.

S7 flat version one of the best flagship of its time. Really an amazing phone I used for a year.

Still using S6 Edge. Works well but need to wipe cache partition sometimes to improve performance.
