If only they offered Emui 10.1 and 11 to Y9 Prime 2019, I would have been satisfied by Huawei

Would love to get Harmony OS instead of Android actually, but it will not happen with this phone 🙄

I hope Huawei will give 3 years of software generation updates like Google and Oneplus does. Not like Samsung, Samsung promises 3 generations, but it ships not with the new generation of software available at that time. Note 20 gets android 10,not android 11 out of the box. So 3 generations means until android 13, not 14. Only google and Oneplus does this, ship with the latest version, then promises 3 years of updates. Maybe 5 years support would be overkill for the Harmony OS

No success without pressure, hard work always give out progress results, it's possible for Huawei to develop micboom for cameras for movie photography once again continue to push harder than before Huawei for life.

BigDisplay, 29 Oct 2020So nice to see, my Mate 20X from 2018 will get this... Well... moreWell it's expected since Mate 20 series started with Android 9 (based on EMUI 9) and it will get 2 major updates up to Android 11 (based on EMUI 11). Other Huawei phones like P20 Pro, also from 2018, will not get it since they started with Android 8.

Mate 20X 5G is in the list, yes !

Shame it's going to be the last one but Huawei already exceeded my expectations so no complaints. Also if I managed to translate from Chinese correctly, the update will be just a closed beta on mid November, for this particular model, so the actual release might be only December.
Either way good job Huawei, honestly, one of the best hardware I've ever owned. Hope they can recover with their new OS or somehow bring Google back.

BigDisplay, 29 Oct 2020So nice to see, my Mate 20X from 2018 will get this... Well... moreThat shouldn't surprise you, you are getting EMUI 11 because you basically have support for two big updates, the first was EMUI 10 and now EMUI 11. Apart from that you received versions like EMUI 9.1 / 10.1 that you count as EMUI updates. But don't expect any more updates, that was the life cycle of the Mate 20 series. I have the P20 and I already received two major updates which were EMUI 9 / EMUI 10 apart from 9.1 but my phone no longer appears in any list because it has no more support.

Trollhammeren, 29 Oct 2020Yeah i don't see switching OS's on already existi... moreRemember Huawei said it will be possible to swift between Android and Harmony on a phone, when they release their new OS 👍🏻

So nice to see, my Mate 20X from 2018 will get this... Well done Huawei... Again 😃

Looking forward to get another OS in near future 👍🏻

Yeah i don't see switching OS's on already existing phones as a good idea ... it's bound to vexx a lot of people
