Probably they are getting Huawei's piece of the pie. Otherwise it doesn't make any sense. The last two phone releases were a major Exynos fail.

How can they not profit double or more, when lately Samy&google..released kind of silly security updates and broke older phones...to make them purchase new one...perhaps millions of them including my note edge!!
It's like that, i like Samsung, but selling the device to you, and then after few year offering warm update for it to brake it...it isn't fair, it isn't right.

Samsung has more knowledge and build business intelligence of various markets across the globe for its range of products than being One Trick Pony. Every brand has great phones and useless phones. But you don't need to pay extra. And decent android phone is enough for everyday usage unless you're a heavy gamer or just want to show off.

Jahid37, 29 Oct 2020I think that Mystic Bronze color is working very well for SamsungI really like the mystic Green on the note 20, would of been even nicer if it was frosted glass instead of plastic!!

Saving money by extensively using plastic as well as Huawei's absents.

Apple can sustain high market share by selling expensive phones (except new SE).
While other to do same, have to sell tons of cheap devices to achieve same volume of sales.

While Samsung and chinese foxus on volume of devices sold, Apple focus on howm much they make per unit.

They are delivering to every kind of user.
Hence the no. 1 company in the world unlike iGarbage

Obviously, If they raise the Smartphone prices by 30%-40% compared to previous years.
Plus removing accessories in Foldable phones (like buds) and I am pretty sure, Fold2 sold much better than Fold1.

AnonD-762416, 29 Oct 2020Reality: THEY sell those shoes. Not YOU. THEY scam you ... moreIf Samsung stop selling midranges and just keep flagships like Apple, the sales drop to about 25 million units from almost 310.

Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo high marketshare is because phones sub-$350.

If Apple had low end iphones with plastic body, 2Mp rear cameras, gorilla 3 like many models from these brands, Apple would sell more than 400 million phones per year.
But would make less money than they do now.

Companies sell products to earn money. It is ridiculous to brag about more while making less money.

Your dear Samsung used to sell Galaxy A series with OIS, IP68 and dual glass body.
Now they sell $1000 phone with plastic. Also, there are phones from A series with gorilla 3 (announced in 2012 or 2013), plastic body, no IP, no OIS for main camera. Not even counting devices from M series with microUSB (something that no OEM should be using since 2017).

This is why Samsung is the biggest brand in the world. They might not be cheap, but they deliver ground breaking innovations at a reasonable price. (If we ignore the 1,000 buck Note 20 :D )
