Almost the same unbalanced and rough picture quality as in 8T. I am owning 8T and very much disappointed because of the Camera quality.

But of cource they need to state in the video that additional equipment is used.
Recently there was an ad on yt from some german rapper, and the video looked like it was taken with a pro camera, actually the video was a commercial for the note 20 ultra showing all the additional equipment used. It is a good advertisement if used in the right way.

This bullshit of "shot on the phone" got to stop. It's a misleading!
What they don't tell you is the professional crew & lighting behind the scene.

              1+ is getting desparate.

paco2x, 31 Oct 2020There is a horrible compression artifact on 0:26... the com... moreThat's Quad Bayer filter for you, you have to sacrifice detail for larger effective pixel. That is why I much prefer to have a smartphone camera sensor with a native unmodified RGB filter array and a large native pixel like in the Sony Xperia 1 ii, Sony Xperia 5 ii, and Panasonic Lumix CM1.

Great editing, not that impressed with the overall video quality. I definitely have seen better, especially from smartphones with native RGB filter array.

It seems okay to me, but to be honest, i really don't care of video quality on a mobile phone... Because i nearly never use it.

Nice video, especially if shot on mobile camera.

                        Ultra stops at IMX 586

                          So they say.

Should have put the IMX 686.

that's a lot of dark back ground. and the effects added after no doubt are masking some poorer quality. dont get me wrong, it looks good, but not as good as what I have seen on Sony's two flagships.

There is a horrible compression artifact on 0:26... the compression of the video file coming from the phone, relative small size sensor and the YT compression itself well it's not helping either. Phone makers should stop doing that kind of promotion of those "pro" like videos or photos with phones… better focus on the versatility and easy of use of the phone cameras rather than those pointless ads.

Even with a humble Canon T8i or the Sony A6100 can give you much better results.

No wonder it looks like the videos from the early 90s.
