joe nodden, 03 Nov 2020I really hate everything. We've got terrible companies... moreThey are much better than buying phones without 3.5mm Jack and too heavy too. However, it would have been great if LG actually would have made v60 phones lighter in weight too. Otherwise, from all other perspective, they are much better than S20 or OP 8 or Find X etc.

I really hate everything. We've got terrible companies like LG releasing terrible phones, then we've got some of the dumbest customers buying these terrible LG products.

HJL2230, 01 Nov 2020"Funny how all the people who yell that nobody buys LG... moreEven geek communities cannot understand the existence of dual screen phones/foldable phones. All that while trying to make do with a pathetically small screen estate for each of their multiwindow apps.

Or paying monthly fees for picture-in-picture/background play of youtube. lul

HJL2230, 01 Nov 2020"Funny how all the people who yell that nobody buys LG... moreThere's actually more use with the swivel mode than just Navigation and Music. For instance, if you watch YouTube vidoes, all the controls will be on the second small screen. Same story when playing games, especially car racing games as the maps will be on the second screen. Heck, you can actually watch YouTube videos on the large screen and browse the Internet on the small screen if you don't mind its small size. GSMArena did write a thorough experience about it: https://www.gsmarena.com/lg_wing-review-2179p4.php

Very happy with the G8x and the Velvet, I hope they keep pumping out excellent phones. Customers should vote for companies using their money and not just be sheep.

HJL2230, 01 Nov 2020"Funny how all the people who yell that nobody buys LG... moreyou are asking for marketing...
they explained the use cases very well during the unveiling...
personally, i find the gimbal mode the best use case...
looks useful too for trading stocks, the bigger horizontal display for charting (price movement in realtime with indicators) and the trading platform on the smaller one since you only need to put the stocks, price and number of shares...
for multimedia use, controls are on the smaller display...
and more, if you are interested about the device, i suggest somegadgetguy, no "usual complaints" unlike most youtubers, just determining for who the device is, which makes more sense than to hate a device... any device...

Okay, I'll be that person. This is a good sign of improvement, but with increased cost of SD 875 chipsets, they have another hard year unless they can make the new strechable? phone at a reasonable price with a good amount of polish. Which judging by their new LG Wing, they can surely get the hardware right, but their software is what is holding them back.

I know LG wing isn't something that is supposed to be flying off shelves, but even at the concept of the phone, I find it very hard to find a good use case for the Swivel screen and LG doesn't do a great job explaining users about it too other than "Look, you can use Music and an Navigation app at the same time! How nifty is that?"

Anonymous, 31 Oct 2020lg still sucks compared to the competition nothing impressiveYeah. They should just go back to making rectangles like everyoneelse and releasing them every week or every month instead of those unique looking dual screens, wings, rollables...

Well, good for LG. Any improvement is a good one. Yet, ball can only bounce back up if it hits the rock bottom.

I think the K92 5G can be a good seller for LG as well, as long as it's priced competitively. The LG Velvet sells pretty ok but the price came down quickly though.

I really hope that LG will expand back to more countries including here in Malaysia. Since I first saw the V50 with DualScreen case last year, I don't really care much about other brands. The only other brand that I would consider aside from LG is Sony, and that's it.

good sign for such an innovative company...
we are going to see more fun phones again...

LG has always bought innovative things to the market.
Good to see them improving their profits.
We need manufacturers which encourage innovation unlike other companies where the end goal is profit with innovation taking a back seat.

Definitely rooting for LG. They're the only phones in the US with complete hardware (headphone jack with DAC is nowhere else here). Cheers to next year for them.
