The idea that Xiaomi or other Chinese phones are junk it's a wrong idea in today's market. They've come a long way in quality control both in hardware and software.

This update only gave it 10.5.1, so the software isn't exactly a selling point for these phones anymore

Slowly they are moving away from stock android feel and just added a bloatware app with update. It's only a matter of time they become mui or funtouch.
