[deleted post]You have to view this differently.

Apple functionality is aways restricted to its form factor and hardware. Laptop functions such as multiple windows, etc = MacBooks. iPad takes the split screen functionality.. etc etc. Each driven by its own niche OSs.. iPados, macOS, ios. Its software is meant to work continually between devices. Thus i say, no point chasing single product in Apple yearly, you need many to gain its benefits.

Android on the other hand, there is no fallback. Its everything in one device. They have no desktop OS, thus every effort is made to include as much as possible, else.. there is nothing to fallback on. But they are trying their best to break this limitation, working with Windows to try integrate, and Windows trying to break the x86 application and move to mobile.

If Windows and Google ever merge their OS, and make a unified platform, then maybe its wakeup call for Apple.

I just can’t understand why apple can’t allow you to set up your phone to your liking as android does.
      It’s disgusting.

[deleted post]I don’t need to do as you demand to hold a valid opinion. Neither do I pass that opinion off as undeniable fact,

And ‘defend the honour of iOS’ ???? Dude you take this stuff way to seriously, lighten up a bit,

Also your bias is showing so hard it's painful. And you call me Apple fanboy when you're all such hardcore Android fanboys its painful to read all your nonsense. Hilarious. There is no "data" but your made up "facts". Apps on Android and iOS behave exactly the same. In fact they are exactly the same. Apps that I've used on Android are exactly the same on iOS. They have same functionality and they are no more or less reliable on either. Stop making s**t up just so you can piss on iOS yet again. It makes you look pathetic.

On coconut battery, My iPhone 12 pro has a 2930mAH battery capacity while my iPhone 11 pro has degraded down to a 2680mAH battery capacity. My current battery health on my iPhone 11 pro is 92%.

They must really have gotten under your skin. Every Apple related article on this site and there you are telling the world how much you can't stand them, over and over and over.......

I've had some bad experiences with various androids I've owned over the years, but I ain't
devoting all my time to ridiculing those devices or the manufacturers responsible.

I have seen similar data about app optimization being in Android's favor despite fragmentation.

Besides, Everything new in smartphone sector is on Android.
IOS gets the bread crumps from the other OS years later.
There's no going back for me. iOS never again!

[deleted post]No point buying 12 when you have 11. Simply does not make sense. As of all Apple product life is long. Chasing it yearly is never a good way.

Use the time to build up Apple devices. Like iPad / Mac / Watches or Pods / or get a new car headunit for wireless apple CarPlay. iPhone is never a single product, its benefits increases as more devices you have. Although for me, i won't think of iPads anymore.. since silicon mac is coming.. with iOS support, and an even longer lifespan.

Apps that are present on Android and iOS behave exactly the same. I was never using any of Google or any of Apple apps. I use all the apps from 3rd party providers so my choice of devices is not tied to any services and your claim is just utter absolute unproven BS. I rarely had any apps crash on Android and I never had any apps crash on iOS. Probably things like this happen on both platforms here and there depending on app but just globally claim such a thing is just dumb.

[deleted post]3rd party apps are crashing more on iOS than Android. I wonder why? Maybe coz Android is simply more optimized than iOS.
All the Optimization PR campaign from Apple has been badly exposed in the real world.
Handicapped ecosystem of iOS will never be as polished as Android.
                          Keep dreaming!

[deleted post]The stack motherboard design have persisted since the iPhone X time. So a proven design, most likely hard to change.

iPhone 11 more than double iPhone X in terms of SoC transistors. But all build in the 7nm size. Its also huge, and coupled with a bigger battery, maybe they think they can push it further with heat management. (But no joke, people still complain iP11 overheating in some case, but since i did not face it myself i can't say for sure)
A14 is the first of the kind to be 5nm. IMO, they would have given some thought if they should add the graphite layers or not. Based on the benchmarks, even with thermal throttle, it still out perform ip11 in sustain task.

And A14 its neural engine capability far exceed A13. Which is the future.. size of chips cannot grow forever, and AI is the future for unparalleled performance.

But yeah. I gonna go for iPhone 12 Pro Max. Hope it have better thermals due to its bigger size.

JT, 06 Nov 2020The battery life difference on my 11 Pro is night and day. ... moreSo there is a chance that iPhone 12 is actually on par in term of battery life with the 11?

Gsmarena's review showed the 12 is worse. It could be the problem is the iOS 14.1

Gsmarena, would you please redo the battery test?

I would really love to have setting for lower screen resolution to save battery and enhance performance

[deleted post]More updates to come. So no worries. Confident it will be fixed.

I have seen all these before, for previous iPhone just after release. Actually, every phone has it, popular ones get brought up, like Samsung's S20 series firmware fix for battery overheating blah blah blah. Be afraid if your phone is not popular thou.. no one knows, or cares to fix.

Updated my iPhone and Apple Watch, but have no idea how to update AirPods lol. I know there used to be a trick that speeds up this by being in certain menu on iPhone while everything is connected to power and you have AirPods close to phone. As much as Apple has excellent updating of device, one for AirPods is very clumsy...
