Google Pixel 4a 5G is a great phone with a "Glass Jaw".
Cracked from an 18" fall with Google's own case. I loved the phone but refuse to put a third screen on it for $150. Somehow Google didn't cover any of the breakages. Kinda sucks

4A (5G) fell out of my pocket yesterday whilst sitting down and it was even in the proper pixel case, landed on a corner and cracked from bottom RHS all the way to top LHS.

I have the phone for a few days and already a ton of micro scratches all over the screen! I've been babying this phone. This is ridiculous and the quality is horrible compared to the 2xl it replaced

Just as I finished setting up my pixel 4a, I put it face down on my steel laptop case (never doing that again). Slid off like a melting ice cube and dropped 3 feet onto a tile floor - not a scratch.

Durability? Screen cracked in two days... Plastic frame bends and cracks the screen immediately. I have owned several phones in my age, never cracking a screen. This was a great disappointment.

Durability is one thing however hardware is completely different. Rear camera already died in 10 days, returning to best buy. Overall impression of the pixel qualities are waning with each new phone.

Durable sure. But I've been plagued with software and connectivity issues through 2 of these phones.

...And yet just this morning, mine, which I've had approx 1 month, fell from the counter, approx 3 feet high, and the screen is shattered.

I got the 4a with the official Google fabric case and cheaper glass screen protector from Amazon. No issues so far, and I even dropped it onto a hard floor when shopping without a scratch.
