Of cause not. Iphone SE since the first one, were made for people who missed out, or didnt want incremental upgrades, as a last hurrah. The original was best of all worlds, for people who want small iphone, with newest internals of then iphone 6s. Now we have the best of both worlds again, with iphone 8 with internals of iphone 11. Other OEMs could do the same, and people would like it! special edition samsung s7 with s10 internals would be amazing!

There's a pattern here. SE models usually release 4 years apart. So we'll get an iPhone SE Gen. 3 with the aesthetics of the iPhone X-12 in 2024.

In the real world, iPhone SE (2020) blows all mid-segment Android phones and high ends including one-plus Nord & 8T etc. I own all these devices and can actually tell that iPhone SE performance just blows all these devices. No lag at all. The only drawback is less battery backup (according to my day-to-day usage its fine).

I still need a small phone with smart features and light weight. IPhone Se2020 was good but since it didn't have the display notch and had a display which is 7years old it was not very interesting

I think there is scope for a permanent SE in Apple's yearly cycle. Or maybe alternate year cycle. The iPhone 8 design miniaturised to iPhone 12 Mini footprint. Of course, it will have bezels, LCD screen, single camera, home button. So instead of 5.4 inches, screen area would be 5 inches or 5.2. Would be a great entry point for Apple to get people hooked on to their ecosystem. So iPhone 13 SE, 13 Mini, 13, 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max. And please Apple, make your phones a millimetre or two thicker, eliminate that camera protrusion and put in a bigger battery. It's not rocket science.

The thing is, SE models are literally... moreyou still need to spend a lot for the SE as it is still around 450 euro that is too much for a lot of people who want a compact phone. For example my mother wants new phone that is compact but dont want SE cause it cost too much and makes no sense for her use to pay that much. And she is already in the age where she values other things more then to own a expensive phone for just making few calls in a week and maybe once in a year make few pictures when she is in vacation some other country.

Because some people don't play games or watch videos on their phones (surprise surprise), but still want other smartphone functionalities and decent specs.
Anyway, a new SE model is not needed, since there is 12 mini. And next year there probably will be a 13 mini. If those compact iPhones will sell decently well, Apple will refresh that model every year.

The iPhone 12 mini is much more compact than SE 2020, while sporting a bigger screen and modern design.
These outdated tiny screens and designs need to be annihilated out of existence.
Good job Apple of retiring the SE permanently.

considering SE phones seem to come out about two years after a generational design shift, I predict the next SE phone will be a souped up iP11 in 2022 and then an iP12mini based one in 2024 at the earliest.

Please make bigger battery like 2400mah or something because 1800mah is not enough for a normal use. It won't last long a day. I think 2021 edition going to get 5g and a14 chip and xr camera ( if this phone get dual camera, it will be good).

G Force, 11 Nov 2020iPhone mini 12 with A15 = iPhone SE 2021True, abit a much more expensive iPhone se 2021. Once they do release the next iPhone se (probably not til 2024) I can't Imagine Apple using the same design. Probably use the itch design as I phones should be full screen by then.
