I just replaced my Note 9 with a Mi 10t pro, there's no way I'm paying those prices, pretty happy with it. I haven't seen anyone with a Note 20, i administer a network with 700+ users, most of the phones connected to wifi are cheap Chinese phones, some iPhones, not that many Samsung devices, some S8 S9, Note 9, 10, a couple of S20's..

Aadrian, 16 Nov 2020Bad idea from Samsung. I only buy Note series because of th... moreYeah same! I prefer the boxier style! Since the S8 woth the rounded corners, the Note series had more boxier corners. Well generally I hate edge/curved screens with weird aspect ratios and notch/punch holes but my S7 started to show its age and I will need a new one.
I might go for the Note 20 Ultra when it becomes even cheaper.
*But to be honest I want to wait for the SoC with the AMD GPU, at first they rumours said that the 2021 flagship phones will get it, the they said for 2022 amd now 2023. I can't that much to get a new Samsung flagship. Well my last prior phone, I had it for about 7 years, from the 6th grade of primary school till the end of high school. It was the low end Galaxy Mini, I don't know how I lasted that long with it. For me only high end phone from now on, because they last longer. My spare phone, the Moto G6 Play(mid range phone that I got for half the price on Black Friday 2018, it originally costed 200 Euro) is terrible, lags like crazy and makes it unusable.

AnonD-909757, 16 Nov 2020Your comment demonstrate pretty well everything I ever said... moreDiversity is good when actually exist. In the last years, no clear differences between S an Note series. Except the S pen and more round edges for the S series.
The last real Note was the Note 4, where the differences were present.
Also, imo, the Fold series k*lled the Note. Because in time the Folds will be more and more affordable, so no need for Note.
Is something similar what happened with 7" tablets.

Pretty much proves late Steve Job's famous quote on the launch of Original iPhone in 2007: "Who wants a stylus? You have get it and put it away, you lose it, yuck! Nobody wants a stylus, so let's not use a stylus."

Why is samsung keeping that ultra line? It literally has no connection or nostalgia to it.
Just MAKE the s21 ultra the note21.
So s21, s21+, s21 FE, note21, z fold 3, z flip 3, and z fold FE.
It was always like that for the past 9 years until samsung released a s series "ultra" and made the note20 disappointing. Only the note20 ultra deserves the name. Now the note line basically has no more significance anymore, just a mid year refresh.

Galaxy Fold will be the new Note series, hopefully the next generation Galaxy Fold will have a robust screen.

Indeed an "S Flagship" series with pen support is totally different from a "Note Flagship" series.

Well, considering Note has already been a half-assed non-ugrade over Galaxy S flagship, it's not a great loss.
Besides, Samsung wants to start pushing Note series buyers into Fold series with fatter profits.
Gotta please them shareholders.

Bad idea from Samsung. I only buy Note series because of the s-pen and the silo to store it, and the better boxier design, so no Note no Samsung for me, that simple.

With ford and flip series in place I really doubt what is the need for Note series along with / the Galaxy S series..It makes perfect sense to came out FLIP & Fold series andditch the note series in favour of Galaxys Series. I don't want to get Into the Fold or Flip without knowing the Screen's longitivity. Not interested in paying Super Premium for Fold or Flip. I see lots of inconveniences and compromised along with taking lots of risks

Source: "We've heard from a few places".... aha
Pen - only support, no physical pen in the device- for the s21 ultra, says nothing about Note 21 series.
What have the highly experimental fold niche devices have to do with this? Nothing!
Those might eat away 2% from the Note 21 series that are defenitely comming.

Nice! So the 1300$ Note20 Ultra flagship released two months ago is getting its successor in 3-4 months. LMAO

Maybe that's why they butchered the note20 lineup, so people won't miss it once it's gone
