Where did oneplus say it was some assembly problem? They just didnt care about the lower quality panels and used them anyway. Since its only visible in grey color on low brightness. Also, they promised a 'fix' for a hardware problem with a software update. All they did was increase the minimum brightness so that tint wont be as noticeable.

Ofc only few batches had it. But this wasnt a widespread issue on 6t, 7 or 7 pro. Just the 7t, nord and 8 series. Atleast from all the reports online. Has the find x2 pro even sold as much as 8 pro? Maybe thats why we dont hear about it having any problems?

It's the assembly process during manufacturing that needs to be more efficient.
BTW, Only few batches had problems. It isn't present on every unit.

Anonymous, 17 Nov 2020and their Green tint issues with their displays. The green tint on some AMOLED panels is nothing but an assembly problem, not a screen problem.
Apple, Huawei, Samsung also had this problem.
In case of Huawei, they said, it was caused by using too much sealer or glue during the assembly process.

If it was a screen issue, it would have happened to all units.
This is is why only some batches of these phones have the issue.
