And it... moreBecause Samsung was a camera maker until few years ago.
Their APSC was the best of its time.
Far ahead of what Canon, Nikon and Sony had to offer.
They just have zero interest in using that knowledge.
Nor even integration with thier other divisions.

Wouldn't really be surprising if it happens, why would Leica want to keep doing business with Huawei when Huawei soon have no meaningful sales outside China. Leica can do way more with someone else.

And it surprises me that both Samsung & LG, have never gone with a partnership like this for their cameras

Well that's some strong words Huawei used to refute the rumour.. If P50 is happening at all, then we might get to know whether their partnership is really over or not.
