18 November 2020
Weirdly, the company chose not to market this feature at all.

    Like how?
90% of the people who update don't care about the new features of the new updates, they care about security and longevity management.

JDK, 21 Nov 20203 years of software support.Phones don't automatically stop working after 3 years.
They just don't get future updates.
Android from 6 years back already has more features and functionality than current iOS.
This is why no one cares about updates on Android.

That SoC is from a smart toothbrush. Chinese toothbrush makers had some left over & sold them to 1+.

Mikkun, 19 Nov 2020IT IS an entry-level phone and the processor may not be abl... moreI can believe that. I never see any entry-level smartphones with such a chipset that can do a high refresh rate. Maybe OnePlus is playing it safe.

Duderino, 19 Nov 2020460 is trash, so is 720p. Get outta here OP.I think you're confusing SoCs and resolutions, lol.

dont buy this, as this wont get android update past 11.
                        oneplus axed their marketing.

They just wanted customers to buy the more expensive N10 or Nord, that's why they pretend the N100 does not have it.

so if oneplus tell the truth thats mean all his sibling (oppo, vivo and realme) whos use sd460 and brag about 90hz are liar?

90Hz or not, a phone with bad software support is a bad phone. People don't realise it much, but software is important. I would have gladly traded the 90Hz screen for atleast 1 more year of software support. Not to mention, this phone ships with Android 10 and not 11. So these budget OP phones are looking like trash

They don't even know what kind of specs have the device that they have rebranded!?

And now, we should expect some kind of support for it in the future???

                                      So ... It's still 720p

dbjungle, 19 Nov 2020High refresh rate is a gimmicky featureIt most definitely is not a gimmick. It's literally a night vs. day level of an improvement in smoothness. First try gaming with only 60 FPS/60 Hz. Then switch to a faster panel and 144 FPS/144 Hz. It's a MASSIVE improvement.
