Anonymous, 13 Aug 2012Concerning Sony Hardware, I stopped buying Sony phones a co... moremaybe their sliders were fragile, I know that my modded Z530i is still working perfectly since 2007, dropped many times, sometimes even thrown away. Only the battery doesn't last more than a day nowadays, after all the hard work.
On thing is a fact: it's battery connector realy sucked, I had to change the phone because of it. After some time, it gets loose, and when the flip hits close, it shuts down. But a piece of paper solved the issue when it came again.
My XPERIA X8 already fell some times, and I realy got scared, it was not like falling from my hand, it flyed from my bed once (about 1,5 meters high), and some other times, always on hard floor and hard shocks. Nothing whrong with the phone.

Concerning Sony Hardware, I stopped buying Sony phones a couple of years ago because although I liked using them a lot I found the Hardware to be unreliable. Different switches and the front-facing camera circuit on my w880i broke several times and I had to repair it by buying other broken w880i phones off Ebay (there were a lot) and using the parts
I knew a lot of people with Sony-Ericsson Slide phones (different models) and all of them broke before at around 18 months old, although everybody liked the phones up to the time they broke. Maybe new models are better? Sony lost a lot of credibility then because of poor reliability so I hope so!

my SonyEricsson W660 still working perfectly since 2006. I even used it as a modem for days, but the battery still work properly.
and oh yeah,
my other SonyEricsoon is T120, i can't remember when i got it, but same with my W660 it still working perfectly

And the problem are they can't even play music when I was riding a bicycle. And its hardware is very unacceptable( easy to break down ) and from that day I hope there would be no SAMSUNG for me!!!

The bottom line is that Sony's making devices that have excellent hardware but when it comes to the software, it isn't quite user friendly missing some basics like task manager. Apart from that the software isn't too appealing either like Sense, Touch Wiz and iOS.

For all those Samsung guys just tell a single droid by Samsung which is dudt shock and water resistant. Just count number of galaxy models available and you will notice just a marginal difference between them. Sony doesnt competes for just revenue but challanges their own products to produce better one always:-)

I WAS a big fan of Sony's.
Nowadays Sony is not giving us the ultimate. They are providing best 1 or 2 features and rest of the features remain non-acceptable, even that for a premium price. So I'm keeping Sony from my phone options now. Considering every parameters for a phone, there is always another option available other than Sony, even though I own the premium Sony Ericsson P1i. Waited long time for a good phone from Sony, but I'm disappointed. Think before you buy. After that there is no option to look back. (Ofcourse, you can sell that)

I can't understand why SONY, one of the biggest giants in the electronics and technology, is coming up with mobiles nicknaming them Xperia U,S,L and so on. Are they trying to teach us the ABCD again. Why can't they come up with one good product like SAMSUNG, instead of running around the bush. SONY you're way behind your competitors in the mobile segment. No matter how good your products are. They are very much confusing.

Currently, only the Xperia S, P, U, Sola and Go count as currently Xperia products. The Pro, Mini, etc. aren't even Sony anymore. If you want to run a comparison like that, then all of the Galaxies of yesteryear have to be included as well, like the Ace, S2, Note, etc. etc. You'll find the current Xperia range is much smaller and distinct compared to the Galaxy range, if only you decided actually search the internet instead of commenting useless posts on places like this and wanting people like me to come around telling you of your incompetence to Google

here's why based on my experience :
i had two sony ericsson phones. and both phones were failure. those two phones only last about year and a half before they broke.
i had Nokia and Samsung phones, and they still fully functional for more than two years before i trade it with new one.
that's why i won't buy another sony (ericsson) product, cos it just a money wasting products.
i better invest my hard earned cash somewhere else.
