The platform has been making strong efforts to warn users of potentially misleading tweets.

Heh.

I dunno why but I find this approach quite humourous. I mean, don't get me wrong, this does put a smile of satisfaction on my face. But it would've been better to have just delete those tweets that spread misinformation.

You don't need any sort of justification. Misinformation is misinformation, it deserves to be deleted by its very nature.

The 1% is for when you said "I need Twitter to protect free speech." With free speech also comes with idiocy and misinformation.

If you want to stop spreading misleading information, block those points temporarily and if proven, permanently. One thing can be seen but not liked. Ridiculous!!

Whole Twitter is a misleading platform, bunch of hypocrites.

If you had said that disclaimers should be added to every such tweet (if some top recent ones were allowed, while others were "disputed", share links let me see for myself, not just say it and expect me to believe) I'd have totally agreed. But you didn't. Instead you came asking for all lies to be promoted and allowed to go wild, not just some. Do you all even think about what you say before they're let out?

The lesser fake news, misinformation and damaging false claims out there, the better! But what would even be better than that would for virtually all – I don't know the feasibility of blocking all of them; the less audacious ones might slip through – of them to be discouraged.

Far-left people talking in the extremes, far-right people talking in the extremes, zero chances of dialogue and instant flaming if you try otherwise. Facts are widely available on reputable source (not Breitbart or Rebel News) but it doesn't matter because on social media, you can find people that agree with whatever stupid proposition you have, and approval is better than facts. What we need isn't "trying the same thing as before", it's to abandon that cancer that is social media.
Besides, what is happening isn't that people are leaving Twitter. What's happening is that people sharing this false and misleading information are leaving. This doesn't lead to more open debate, not at all. It's yet another echo chamber.
