I think the Poco X3 in your sentence should be replaced by Iphone 12. An overpriced smartphone with no High Refresh Rate, no telephoto cam, no headphone jack, no microsd slot. Many people says the Poco X3 is an excellent smartphone for its price. I use one, so don't judge things by reviews

Wow! I checked an online store and it will be available in my country this Friday -- $125 for 64GB and $145 for 128GB, both with free earphones. I can't wait to try it. If the stereo speakers are good-sounding, I will make it as my primary phone. If not, I will just give it to my parents because they are still using a feature phone.

You ... more50 usd can be a huge difference in the primary markets of Xiaomi like South Asia. People there buy phones at a tight budget. Not every region has the same economy or type of buyers. There's a reason Xiaomi manages to sell a lot of phone units, though they make less profit than other manufacturers who sell less units.
I personally find this device pretty generous. Market is full of mediatek devices at this price range, it is a good option for anyone looking for Snapdragon device. And compared to redmi 9/ Poco M2 which has 13mp camera, this has a 48mp unit, though it's not that much of a difference since image processing will be shitty. Still you can use gcam to improve things a bit. A lot of devices use 720p display, micro usb, and helio g35/ sd 4xx at this price. So I think it's one of the best offerings at $150 range.

Chipset makes a device future proof? 😂. Custom rom support does. My 28nm sd425 is getting Android 11, sir. Yours will get a crippling update from the company.

People like you would love a 9.7 inch phone with 3400mAh battery and go crazy after its 108MP camera even if the brand is lying. Because you won't notice the difference anyway.

There are many people who don't need the extra features on the X3, for them the 50$ is worth the bargain, not all people use smartphones for the same purpose, variety is always a good thing.
