It is not like AliExpress delivers COVID drugs. Just anothee delivery platform for Chinese goods.
Perhaps out of 1.2 Billion people , 4-5 percent are aware of it.
Anyway, Indiana should do what fits them. Data security is of prime importance. US has been shouting on top of their voice for a long time. Good to know EU and India are paying heed.

I think India only wants to block apps like Aliexpress, which are truly damaging to the Indian economy. But they also blocked few other useless apps so it won't look like India is targeting these specific apps.

App ban is more of a symbolic gesture although little but it will hurt a lot in the long run. You see Aliexpress is not a small merchant by any means so the impact would be huge !

Ability to eradicate poverty? Maybe, but they don't and won't. Don't even get me started on their absolute abuse of the UN and international standards and systems.
I won't deny their innovation; credit where credit is due, but to think that excuses their behavior is absurd.

It is the second largest economy nominally and 1st in terms of PPP. They are able to eradicate poverty and change a desert into a forest. Not to mention their innovation in everything. First 6G satellite, for example. Don’t tell me they need to be shown their place.
