I just don't like the shape of the HOME ... morewhat you're saying might be correct but then if you properly read this article, it clearly states that it is a fan art and not some proper official design. also if you check, on the bottom left and bottom right corner of the design properly, it is just completely off and not in proper line. i don't mean to be a fanboy but then it is called observation. i respect your view though :)

Please not the Exynos 4412! OpenGL 2.0 is already over 5 years old (released March 2007). That's an eon in mobile devices. I'm totally alright with them ditching a high-res screen for battery life. But I don't see why they would ditch the Exynos 5. Samsung seems pretty confident that their 32nm HKMG process is able to negate the higher power consumption of the Cortex A15 cores. And besides, they said that it (Exynos 5) was entering mass production in Q2. I would be sorely disappointed if it came with an Exynos 4 Quad. In fact, I'd skip this phone altogether.
But if they did go for a non-Pentile 1200 by 800 screen (as mentioned by the source), it'd be harder to market to people who got the original Note or the SGS3. Sure, non-Pentile is a plus, but then both the OG Note and SGS3 would have higher pixel densities that would partially resolve the difference.
If they did go for a display with a higher resolution, then they would almost certainly need the better GPU that the Exynos 5 Dual affords (in order to maintain high frame rates when running 3D applications). They would also need a much higher memory bandwidth. The Mali 400, while powerful in texture performance, is seriously lacking in vertex performance. Seeing how games developed around the next gen OpenGL 3.0 (and future games in general) would demand higher vertex performance, the Mali 400 looks like it will be trailing other more powerful GPUs. Going forward, the Mali 400 does not have much headroom.
All in all,if they did go for the Exynos 4 Quad over the Exynos 5 Dual, I'd honestly be quite upset. I've been waiting to upgrade for quite some time now, and the Note would perfectly fit my needs, if and only if it comes with the right processor (and right memory interface while we're at it too).

It is stretch ugly S3 with OC procesor from 1.4 to 1.5 (big thing, my on S3 is 1,8). And that resolution with Pentile display on 5,5" will be terrible!!!!!

I read on samsung page that now they will release Exynos 5 with Cortex A15 Quad Core ...And i think they will use it for Note 2 ... because it have 2gb ram ... and 1.6ghz processor.. But im not sure we will see on 29 of august

I hate the design of Sony Xperia S and I will never buy that, and iPhones look ok but have too sharp edges making them very uncomfortable, and Nokias/Microsoft Metro-UI is too annoying!

Ugly, like the S3. I just don't like the shape of the HOME button on this and the S3. Much prefer a pure circle or square/rectangle. All said, other disagree.
Also, hope they have ICS on screen buttons and remove the touch buttons next to the home button. Once you use the ICS on screen buttons, it becomes second nature - and they rotate with the phone display.

I love my note, and eagerly waiting for note2. I love sgs3 but it doesn't have the s-pen (even though i rarely use it haha..)
I don't want to buy the upcoming new iphone, but if note2's design fail to impress, i am considering buying the new iphone (fingers crossed)

Its the most IMPRACTICAL piece of garbage on the market.you can't carry it in your pocket, and you can't carry is in a belt holster. And not to mention that the pixel density is ALSO garbage.
samsung is hidious. what ugly junky plastic phone designs they come up with...
