I seriously don't understand why 5.3 comes in two variants of 4gb 64 and 6gb 64 yet the successor now is gonna be only 4gb of ram. This is not a iPhone and Nokia need to stick to the script

started with nokia 2110, 8850, 8910i, 6230, 6300, n97, n9, Lumia 920, Lumia 930, Nokia 8, Nokia 7.2 now. Only got a Huawei in between a Mate 9 but it was horrible compared to the quality Nokia delivers. So the 5.4 looks like a good and sturdy phone, but I wait for the 9.3 or perhaps even the 7.3 but my 7.2 still is like new so I can use for longer if I want

For a stock android phone, their software is really buggy. I have Nokia 7.1 running on Android 10 and just got november security update but still i experience bugs like screen freezing and the phone reseting by itself.

Needs to have a better speaker than the 5.3. By far the worst speaker I've tried. Budget or not.

AnonD-945200, 28 Nov 2020if it has a 6.4 inches display, then why the f** they named... moreBecause HMD Nokia name their phone from 1 to 9 based on their cost/level of feature, 1 will be the cheapest and 9 the flagship, and they add a number at each iteration, or at least it how it should be.
There was the Nokia 5, 5.1, 5.1 Plus, and it was supposed to continue, but they messed up...
So they made the Nokia X5 which is also code name "5.1 Plus", then they skipped the Nokia 5.2 and directly made a 5.3, and now there is the 5.4 and they also started to make some higher number cheaper than some smaller numbers.
Same way after the Nokia 9 they are making the 9.3, apparently because 9.1 would seem outdated compared to the rest.
In short, HDM can't properly release regularly smartphones and they made a mess...

Nokia has good potential, they just gotta stay on the edge and focus on performance issues.

They should've concentrated on a flagship phone instead of a bunch of midrange. At least release a flagship per year to stay competitive/relevant.
