MediaTek has come a long way. Seeing how much Snapdragon has overpriced their chipsets as of late; you can expect many OEMs to switch to MTK chipsets in the nearby future.

Qualcomm already dead when they chose samsung foundry for production...the only advantage they had was the tsmc chips which is ahead of samsung foundry in transistor density...now samsung and Qualcomm both same density...it's going to be equal or slight advantage for samsung due to inhouse chips

Rk100, 30 Nov 2020MediaTek catching up very quickly, now I hope that Samsung ... moreSamsung has good processors but they don't use it don't know the reason why they do so.For example they have exynos 880 which is capable midrange pricessor but they have never used it and they decided to stick to old exynos 9611then exynos 980 was also preety much decent but same case it was not used properly.Well upper midrange processors are getting massive refresh so lets see what snapdragon does with its 775

MediaTek catching up very quickly, now I hope that Samsung can catch up, also I'd like to see Samsung or even Oneplus work with this new chip and see what they can come up with.
Overall, nice job MediaTek.
