In the PC world we have a 8-core 3.1 GHz CPU (FX-8150) with weaker performance than a dual-core 3.1 GHz CPU (i3 2100). In other words, check performance first, then rant about weaknesses, not number of cores and other nonsense crap.
This particular dual core outperforms the popular Tegra 3 quad-core. We've also seen single-cores with similar performance as this dual-core and the other quad-cores. is this the "IT" you claim does not matter?
New things 'round the corner? Seriously. . .
There will always come new and better HW, what was your silly point here? We all know this. Point is now, and available competition.

Are the others any better? No, stop being so ignorant. It actually pains me to read your comment. Sammy gives such crappy updates they force their users to buy new phones. HTC is just the same, or slightly less bad. Sony keeps changing their mind once or twice a month. "No 2011 device will get updated", or maybe, well. . . not sure, yes, maybe, maybe not.

All you need is to check out any facebook site or forums, you'll see the same complaints of everyone, execpt from fanboys and fanboy sites.
Apple? Where did that come from? Different camp, but ok. To be honest they aren't all that good on updates as they were. Excuses, they rock, for those who actually buy their excuses.

Number of cores alone says absolutely nothing about power. Same CPU here as in Atrix HD which outperforms any Tegra 3 quad-core in example.

people are blaming motorola why they release this kind of phone. for your information, the specs inside this phone is based on motorola's client--VERIZON. the voice of the client should be followed. what verizon wants then moto should provide. now, blame verizon not moto..so lol.. is it not?
