But if it was for this thing on the article (the gift card as a prepaid card for top up the google play account), then it does not better than iTunes. iTunes already support this kind of payment for awhile.

Seriously is it so hard to predict Android's moves? Someone could make a lot of money as an analyst of Android future plans.
Step 1. Look at iOS features
Step 2. Look at Android features and see what it still hasn't emulated
Step 3. Announce the missing features as a coming feature
Step 4. Watch it come true and enjoy all the Android fans going ooh and aah at your genius lol
