Apple could have done this in 2017 but doing now. This company always makes a fool of its users. Slowing down earlier phones and forcing customers to upgrade. Whereas companies like Oneplus make their 3-year-old phones faster with updates

Anonymous, 04 Dec 2020And still on Android 8 or 9 even on android 7 it can even d... moreAndroid developers can’t even developed apps and games that suit new aspect ratio of android phones 20:9, there’s no even proper tablets OS or apps, software and hardware Fragmentation, all features that adds by OEM’s like onscreen fingerprint scanner, 8k,4K@60fps etc.. doesn’t even implemented by android OS just half packed features, yeah Apple might introduce those features later, but works better than android due to the right OS implantation since Apple own IOS unlike Android that own by google.

As per the Apple site, all the phones with 7mp got the 1080p facetime update. Any phones with lower than 7mp are still at 720p. Which makes the details as , the iphone 7 and later got the 1080p facetime update and not just iphone8 and later. Please make corrections to article

FaceTime is also used on other Apple devices.
Your limited 720p in FaceTime would look terrible when viewed on an iPad Pro (for example) on the other end.
