I'm not talking about the processor, that's a different thing and snapdragon is more powerful in some cases but the graphics unit is over the top on high-end iphones.

This should not come as a surprise. Technology will always become obsolete and later dropped out of support. Previously I did use a Gear Fit 2, Moto 360 (1st gen), Garmin Vivoactive. Sold the Gear due to poor battery, Moto 360 is out of support from android wear and gave the Garmin to my dad.
Currently using a conventional watch. Never have to worry about getting obsolete. Of course you will miss out the tech features of the smartwatch but it does not really matter that much for me since everything is done on a smartphone.

Even if Apple iPhone's GPU is powerful, actual performance of SD should not fall behind by a big margin. And considering why Chinese phones have extremely good gaming performance (despite clunky UI).
I don't know if it's an optimisation issue or just the thermals struggling (I doubt this as Gary Explains tested a RedMagic phone and active cooling makes little difference but lowered surface temperatures).
If Chong Liu can get 45fps at max settings in Genshin with a SD Note 20 Ultra, my S20 FE 5G cycles 25-40fps after 15-20 mins at this settings (the frame drops are worse), though I think that channel is just a publicity stunt.
As for the screen flickering, I think someone replied to you. No, my screen did not flicker. The touch sensor is flawed, so multitouch has erratic movements. It's disturbing in games. Typing is subjectively a bit slow. If my phone flickered then I would have not waited and sent it straight back to Samsung.

I live here and before corona a lot of shops were not allowing any card payments, just cash. I am happy now there is a choice at least. One of the little benefits of the pandemy.

They not only dropped support already, they broken my Samsung Active 2 smartwatch with the last update which lost it's ability to work with watch's sensors (not that it was ever accurate). Its same as with applegate, if it's old better break it so people buy new ones. I hope Samsung is next in line for a class action lawsuit.

Still, I have some thermal throttling in some games, I think it's an optimisation issue from the games or phone. PUBG Mobile runs smoothly at HDR Extreme without throttling, but Genshin Impact struggles to run at high 30fps (fps dips to 25 after some time). That said, the performance for daily use is still excellent and matches my iPhone 11 (in heavy gaming iPhone gets hot and throttles as well)
Still, it's well-compensated by the great cameras and battery. Had the screen ran well then I would have kept the phone.

S20 FE 5g is powered by snapdragon 865 just like any other top end Samsung released this year outside Europe, where they sell the poor Exynos. Even better, the EU version for 5g is also the same one with snapdragon!

Also sorry to hear about your screen issues. I know some people who have the phone and don't have issues but I know some people. But you should be able to return the phone through the 2 year warranty option without problems unless they repair your issue.

Singer might work but it won't be guaranteed, hence dropping the support. The wearables will still functions normally and connect with pre-2021 Samsung phones.

That fact that people are complaining about this is unacceptable, these devices have gotten support for what, 7 years now? Let the support rest now so Samsung can focus on their next watches.

I'm going to drop out of Samsung after my bad experience with my S20 FE 5G. It's just the jittery screen (unacceptable) and some thermal throttling (I thought this phone is supposed to perform as well or even better in games than my iPhone 11). Otherwise the camera and battery life is awesome, much better than the iPhone.
If Xiaomi can stop promoting ads, remove spyware and improve its UI then I might consider it.

still with Gear S2 Classic here, as long as it still can received notification via bluetooth
that's the main reason I'm wearing smartwatch
