There is no such thing like best smartphone. Every smartphone is great for several people. Just buy any phone you like. Check specs and price to find the best phone for you. If you aren't heavy gamer or superuser you don't need a flagship phone.

If you talk about overall package Note 20 Ultra it does everything very good...and is A71 5G not a midranger it would have been a better match for Nord

Honestly there are alot of great flagships this year like Huawei Mate40/P40 series are among the best if you can live without GMS, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is pretty muchan allrounder phone, iPhone 12 Pro Max and Sony Xperia 1II are pretty good too and than there is the almost uncompromised Asus Zenfone 7 Pro but IMO the flagship that stood out the most this year (to me atleast) as Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra this is just simoly the best phone of the year and I can't find reason why Gsmarena didn't include it in the poll but since its not on the list I voted for Zenfone 7 Pro
In flagship killer I voted for Poco F2 Pro
Camera phone goes to Mate 40 Pro
Gaming phone obviously ROG 3
Mid range I voted for Poco X3 NFC but I think the list should include Huawei Nova 7i/P40 Lite, it has the fastest 4G SoC, pretty capable camera, 40W charging with great battery life, the only con I see on this over Poco X3 is the former doesn't support GMS otherwise I say Nova 7i is the best mid range of the year
Affordable 5G goes to iPhone 12 Mini
