I refuse to purchase a phone without a charger and will boycott any phone that doesn't come with a charger.
Infact phones should come with protective covers in the box and that's something many people will have to purchase anyway.
Leaving the earphones out if the phone has 3.5mm jack I'm fine with.
Boycott all chargerless phones. We must stop this horrible trend.

"reducing environmental waste" - don't you have to buy a charger if you buy a phone? what stupid thinking is that?
Samsung laugh about Apple 2 years ago...reason? no charger.
Now, they do the same shit. S21 cost over 700 euro...and no charger.

this is just another way of churning out money from their customers, if these big tech companies really care about environment they should launch a recycling program for the charger. Excluding a charger from box will not lead to save environment but it will do the opposite, shipping of separate charger with another box and packing will do more waste rather than saving. I don't support these types of decision from smartphone makers. I also don't get the concept of following apple, 1st ditching of 3.5mm audio jack, 2nd excluding the 3.5mm to usbC connector and now charger & data cable.
But now I have made my mind, that I will never gonna buy flagship phone from any smartphone maker.

Not sure if people defending the "no charger" thing are way too naive or just trolling lol phones come with better charging capabilities almost each year, so if you don't upgrade your phone each year you have to buy a new charger beating the purpose of saving the environment, if you care you don't buy a different phone each year you only change it when it stops working at all which makes new policy actually anti-environmental, obviously is just for profit because they should make the phone at the very least $100 cheaper (iphone's charger is $60 and the headphones that used to come with it add up, plus delivery cost in many countries) but is not cheaper so ask yourself this: is it environmental or is it to make $100 more per phone? Boycott this bullshit!

As the new devices comes with a new charging speed if we need to use the full feature of phone we need to buy a new charger. New charger seperate purchase means more cost more packaging and more waste to the environment.

i don`t really get how people have chargers lying around ..
as i know it, at least in my country, we lost our charger all the time, lol. Either broken, someone stole it, or forgot and left it in public places
But in my opinion, excluding the charger won`t really help reducing the total amount of chargers produced. Apple. Samsung, and probably others that follow will probably create less chargers, but we shouldn`t exclude "the fake charger" makers from the equation. The more they know that manufacturers remove charger from their package, the more these fakers eager to make more fake chargers.

Also since most people have chargers lying around there won't be a need to buy another when they already own one. You're just greedy and don't care about the environment.

I’m glad Samsung and Apple are taking steps to care about the environment. I hope every company follows suit and doesn’t include a charger in the box. We only have one planet and it’s time we prioritize over peoples selfish whims
