      A yoga mat for $120?
      Seriously?
Well I guess there is a lot of dumb-idiots willing to pay por an 'iyoga mat'

People like me (romanian christian orthodox) will not do it because it's another religion. You're basically bashing people for not beliving in your religion...

That's OK. I asked because I have never been to India & seen with my own eyes how real gurus do their yoga.

It's my understand that Apple just sell the mats, they didn't make it. Just like how they buy panels from Samsung & pass them off as theirs.

Nah, you just mad that Apple wasn't the one who made the yoga mats but made instead by a company which yoga practitioners still recommend despite the high price lol.

Anonymous, 11 Dec 2020yes they do. got a problem?I asked because I don't what the gurus used to do their yoga.
Westerners don't tend to follow truely the original teaching.

                      Daang, Manduka?

I'm currently testing this mat and it's really improved my yoga game up. I'm not surprised Apple went with this company.

Is it a smart yoga mat?? Why so costly?

Another scheme to dupe users into buying something expensive

Soon they start selling Apple apples for $50 each... :D

Do real Yoga gurus in India use mats?

afronoia, 10 Dec 2020Not defending Apple or whoever this Manduka company is, but... more120$ is too expensive for even the best Yoga mats.
Yes the cheap 10$ ones are garbage.
Thicker the mat, the more expensive it is. But it surely isn't as expensive as 120$.
I got a full sized thick mat for not more than 30$.
This ain't any better quality than that.

Not defending Apple or whoever this Manduka company is, but good yoga mats are expensive. I've tried the ones priced $5, $20, and $50. I can really tell the difference in quality and comfort. The cheap ones are either too thin or too soft and won't be able to support your body well which may cause pain. In my local online marketplace, even some non-famous brands also sell their yoga mats for $120 or even more.
Back to the news though, I think $10 per month for a fitness app is too much. But this is Apple we're talking about so that's no surprise.

It would refuse to do most tasks unless the user pays his way past an expensive paywall.
