Anonymous, 18 Dec 2020it costs 59,000 which is very cheap
You call something overpriced when that price is not justified by it's performance or what it offers for that price. You wouldn't pay $50 for a piece of bread and say that it's cheap. Would you?
There are much better options for a lower price.

Andreidinutu, 16 Dec 2020I feel bad now...
Sorry, never really checked laptops at t... moreIt's fine really. It's great that you can see the picture clearly now.
But honestly part of the blame goes to OEMs and resellers. You'll still see laptops with amd A series and E series at the lowest end being sold for like $250 or so. These laptops are way too obsolete (amd wasn't even a competition during the bulldozer era). Newer athlons based on zen+ processors are available at the same price. But sellers exhibit their old products like "Original price $500, now just $250" and ignorant buyers end up buying old laptops that are shit because newer athlons, though are just around $300, are not on any offer 😐. It's the same for intel, they still sell dual core core i7 series 7xxxu series at considerably high prices.
You need to see the middle tier laptops to see the bigger picture. Sellers don't play tricks there usually because the majority of customers cluster around this.

Sorry, never really checked laptops at those prices, only lower, when I now realise that I have seen one or two laptops with amd for a better price (under 4000 ron).
I am really sorry (I mean it) and will stop saying anything against amd, and will change my mindset and will be a bit more open-minded
You've done some good for me, sincerley thanks
Sorry again

10th gen? hello Nokia, 11th gen is out. Had you released this with 11th, you most likley would have better sales by offering the latest generation cpu.

Sorry ... moreActually intel is still the only option if you want your laptop with the highest end gpu. OEMs still don't let you have a laptop with Ryzen 7/9 and RTX 2080 (it's coming with 3080 apparently).
Intel sells lies. It used to claim to be most secure when it's security co-processor itself was a security hazard.
They are reluctant to lower the prices of their products or improve their performance, instead they sell biased benchmarks.
Yes intel was on par with last gen Ryzen processors with a slight advantage in single threaded applications, but trailing in multi threaded applications. But the integrated graphics was no competition. It was shit. And the security patches reduced the performance and there are probably a lot more security issues that are yet to be revealed because of some non-disclosure agreement.
But there was only one real reason to pick an intel laptop. Battery life. If your system tends to be idle a lot, intel provides better battery life.
I checked the website you mentioned. I don't see any model with amd processor being costlier than the corresponding intel based ones. In fact from what I see amd offers more cores for lesser price, just like in the rest of the world.
Laptop Lenovo Gaming 15.6'' Legion 5 15IMH05H, FHD 120Hz, Procesor Intel® Core™ i7-10750H (12M Cache, up to 5.00 GHz), 16GB DDR4, 1TB SSD, GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB, No OS: Price : 5.798,99 RON (inclusive of 200 discount). 6 core processor.
Laptop Lenovo Gaming 15.6'' Legion 5 15ARH05, FHD 120Hz, Procesor AMD Ryzen™ 7 4800H (8M Cache, up to 4.20 GHz), 16GB DDR4, 512GB SSD, GeForce GTX 1650 Ti 4GB, No OS
Price: 4.999,00 RON (no discount) 8 core processor.
Now lets see a thinkpad.
Laptop Lenovo 14'' ThinkPad T490s, FHD IPS, Procesor Intel® Core™ i7-8565U (8M Cache, up to 4.60 GHz), 16GB DDR4, 1TB SSD, GMA UHD 620, 4G LTE, Win 10 Pro
Price: 8.198,99 RON (very old quad-core
processor, stupidly overpriced)
Laptop Lenovo 14'' ThinkPad T14 Gen 1, FHD, Procesor AMD Ryzen™ 7 PRO 4750U (8M Cache, up to 4.1 GHz), 16GB DDR4, 512GB SSD, Radeon, Win 10 Pro,
Price: 7.798,99 RON
(Latest highest end pro ryzen chip with 8 cores and 16 threads. It is overpriced. But thinkpads are like that. But compared to the above laptop with 4 cores, this one's dirt cheap).
See. If you check based on the specs and generation amd is still much cheaper.

Rareart1, 14 Dec 2020 Your input here was helpful. I know a person with a laptop... moreActually, if ur friend owned AMD A4/A6/A8/A10-powered laptop, then yes, he is right in complaining, because only since Ryzen, AMD got everything right (even the best AMD A12 is no better than Intel's Core i3; AMD only won in GPU & battery efficiencyaat that time).
The main reason Intel dominating laptop's world for 10 years (2006-2016) because AMD couldn't offer better processor (including their Phenom series). During 2006-2016, CPU development was really slow, as annually, Intel introduced newer CPU with ~10% gain with huge battery consumption (yes, Core series are never battery-efficient, even during low load)

My friend got it for $600, it does not have an IPS panel or magnesium alloy body or Windows hello for Face recog. but it has better processor(miles better), better battery life and an FP sensor.
And I don't think that an IPS panel and magnesium alloy build with much worse performance and battery life demands for a $200 dollar premium.

People in this thread have no idea whatsoever. Anything with 11th gen processor that has the same price as this laptop weighs 200-300g more, and lacks I/O ports, or even an IPS screen. Anything similar to this with 11th gen i5 cost 8k-10k more. Even the Ryzen 5 variants of similarly speced laptops cost way more. So no it's not been priced bad, and for sure it'll go on sale soon.
