I think your math is wrong. Iphone 4S (4 million units first week) and New Ipad (3 million units in 3 days) < Samsung Galaxy SIII (8 million units pre-ordered). Re-check your formula. I will give the Iphone 5 5 million sold units its first month. That is also generous.

And dont wry about d size. Rumors suggest that the iphone 5 will have a 4.5 inch size which is better than the 3.5 inch size of d 4s..

This my thought about the upcoming galaxy note 2:
- Super Amoled plus HD, 310ppi 5.5" screen(Hope no more pentile matrix)
- 8 MP camera the same camera as the SGS3 but with but with better Audio video quality.
- better call quality.
Quad core Exnoys processuor 1.6 4412 with the new Mali GPU not the 400! Plus 2 gig of ram.
- Bigger battery 3100Mah instead of 2000Mah.
............. HOPE SO MAYBE............

if they are going to release a new note every 12 months.. i will wait till next year.. by then ot will have the new chip.. more ram and full hd rgb screen.. plus a killer camera. I have a feeling the note 2 is just a big s3

You guys are really making me wonder.
I personally am sort of a iPhone (not Apple) lover (i have bought evey iPhone so far). I just love the simplicity of iOS and the one click AppStore and updates that comes directly from Apple. To be honest i never liked Android for many many reasons even if i owned a GSII. This topic i dont want to get into :)
Any way i'm just tired of the tiny screen now and i'm actually considering Note2 (even considered GSIII). I played with my friends Note1 and was quite happy with the surfing which is what i use most of the time. Ok i call allot as well but for that i use Bluetooth mostly anyway.
iOS and Android got their pro and cons each. Reason i ditch iphone is the small screen and also the stupid limitation. I'm not talking about big things here but rather small stuff like using mp3 as ringtone or having live background and such.
if Samsung manages to lunch Note2 before iPhone5 i will surely switch. (and maybe get iPhone5 as well since i'm a gadget freak).
Now some people complain saying there is nothing new in GSIII and even Note2. Seriously guys what do you need?
Sure LTE i can agree a little but even LTE isnt anything i miss in my daily use. I have 21Mbit using HSDPA and my surfing is really fast so i couldnt care less about LTE.
A9 vs A15 talk is also not really a big deal. I mean GSIII has more power then a computer :)
Pentile display? well this would be a problem with old galaxy but seriously have you seen the screen? its damn gorgeous. I was really worried about pentile (maybe used in Note2) so i went to store and tested GSIII really hard and i couldnt see any pixel, its damn great.
Phones nowdays are mostly screen anyway so there aint much you can do with it. Its more about software anyway.
Me for one i'm looking really forward to the Note 2 unveiling as well as iPhone5. I doubt iphone will be much bigger considering the apple philosophy so i'm more eager to see Note2 then iPhone this year.

iphones are pointless and limiting. i use the original galaxy note now and i adore it. never puts a foot wrong and it CAN fit in a pocket!!!!! apple is a ridiculous company and needs to open its eyes to the world and actually give users the things they want in a phone like android does!!!!!

A fact is a fact. Iphone5 will dominate Note 2.
And besides Note 2 due 2 its size would never be pocket friendly :@
