Because they are built by slaves.. The cheap price you get is because other people/the workers are paying the price for you by slaving themselves to the company because of the harsh life they are facing.. I only support respectable company which ensures all their employee and supply chain are clean and not tainted by slavery..

To further clarify, when Nokia announced its return to the smartphone market after having been destroyed by Steve Ballmer at Microsoft, the company entered into a partnership with HMD Global, a newly founded startup that became the licensee of the Nokia brand for phones, and FIH Mobile, owned by Foxconn, which became the exclusive manufacturer of new Nokia phones.
In 2019, HMD Global decided to pursue a multi-ODM strategy, meaning more companies were contracted with the manufacturing of new Nokia phones. The reason was a financial one, for both HMD and FIH Mobile. FIH Mobile is also in the ownership structure of HMD Global by owning around 10% of HMD Global.

the older version 5.3 had 6 gb ram , now downgraded with lower 4 gb ram....Hahahaha

Seriously why ppl always whining over an OLED? Even tho this phone has LPS, the phone has a decent performance for such a price. and if u guys complain about design, take a look at most Chinese phone brands all of them are the same design and most of them are just a copycat from another brand. so I hope you guys respect some smartphone builds rather than blabbering something like you guys can ever build a phone.

They could have given OLED screen. And the design looks similar from 7.2. No innovation and ads are boring. HMD just releasing phones with dumb notches just like the rest. Remember lumia and n9 series. Old Nokia always stood for innovation.

Good deal, the Nokia 5.3 sells well and is getting positive reviews. The Nokia 5.4 will be a good package too, very solid and reliable. Fast updates and no bloatware.

This HMD do not seem to have NFC for all markets.
