here in sri lanka spotify is not available (i have no idea when it will be either) and apple music with monthly subscription is way way better , a larger music collection than spotify too ... so when spotify launches officially here it will struggle hard to compete with apple music in my guess ...

Spotify just slashed the prices to compete with the local services which are infact free of cost as part of carrier deals such as
Jio+ saavn and Airtel + wynk.

I don’t understand the reason behind people subscribing to spotify. If you just want to listen to Songs, there is gaana. Which is like 3 times cheaper with better sound quality. But even better value is amazon music. For 1000Rs, you get amazon prime, prime video, prime music, audible, and various other perks.

Everything is so cheap :((( here in romania we have to pay 5 euro for a month, and the french and germans have to pay a tenner!
