750g isn't really a 5g variant of the 730g. The 750g came out a year later, has a different CPU architecture (2x A77 + 6x A55 vs 2x A76 + 6x A55), amore powerful GPU (Adreno 619 vs 618), different DSP, memory controller, ISP as well different modem.

Bought the white one for a bit short of 300 eur as my daily driver with 2 sims. Using for calls, emails, a daily hour of browsing and as a wifi modem for my laptop.

"Downgraded" from Samsung Note10. No regrets, very satisfied.

Its surely on a large side but a battery life fully compensates this disadvantage.

Anonymous, 22 Dec 20203 days before I buy this mobail I am supering about battery... moreEven the 4500 mah in S20 FE is useless. In my daily routine I very hardly manage to get a full day of use, mostly have to recharge in the evening.
But on the other hand, using Xiaomi Note 8 Pro I get Full Day and at times half of the next day as well with heavy use. The main issue here is with Samsung battery optimization.

Anything Samsung does is good in your eyes. Wake up, this is a $400 phone. 720p is bad even on a $140 phone, so please stop being an enabler for Samsung.

Larry Chow, 21 Dec 2020720P is perfectly fine. Those of you whiners don't kn... moreI never use my Galaxy Note 8 in 720p mode, because I can clearly see pixels from a normal viewing distance.

Due to the arrangement of pixels, pentile AMOLED screens have 1/3 less effective pixel density than LCD screens. For this A42 5G, the advertised ppi is 266, but the effective ppi is only 177, meaning the screen is less sharp than a $30 prepaid phone you can buy at Walmart/Best Buy.

A promising phone it is. The only thing I care about is the chipset & display quality. For the resolution part, I'm already always using 720p for majority of the streaming. For any higher resolutions, I'm running for the TV or Laptop. Processor, Camera, Battery Life & Display quality (OLED or AMOLED) These matter only. Rest are just marketing gimmicks. I can't wait for this phone to launch here. And yes with that 720p panel, it will give some very decent power & duration

Looks like Samsung wanna transfer some sales to the Chinese brothers. At 300 euros one can buy all kinds of 4/5g full hd+ lcd/amoled screens.

720P is perfectly fine. Those of you whiners don't know what you are talking about. I have S20 and S8+ (and S7 edge before) now. All of which I set to 720P even though they are 1440P. Saves processing power. Your eyes cannot tell the difference under normal viewing distance. . If you can tell the difference you are holding the phone too close and you will be near sighted and have cross eyes.

The design doesn't look so great... I wonder why every smartphone company are using stove-shape camera.

What an ugly phone. That chin... That cheap looking back...
Only 1st series of A line had good looking back. That glass imitation with simple rainbow effect looked great even next to the glass. Then they introduced these geometric shapes which made phone so cheap looking. I know you can put mask over it but still... I am wondering who approved that this design and said "yes start the production!" I am so triggered.
STOP GIVING THE JOBS IN THE DESIGN DEPARTMENT TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE NO EYE FOR THE AESTHETICS!
