It�... moreIf Samsung really putting 28nm chipset in the A02 after the still acceptable 12nm SD439 in the A01, then it only means one thing: Samsung wants maximum profits by cutting cost. This approach can already be seen in the $400 A42 using 720p display.

No one should buy this phone unless it costs 20US...then ok..other than that if it even costs 21US is overpriced..28nm generates so much heat it kills the battery within 6 months we supposed to be in the 14nm generation minimum

Bought an A01 some months ago for my dad as his first smartphone who got bored in the lockdowns. With sd439 and 3gb ram it is running quite good for him, with the social media and the video calls. Battery lasts a whole day or more since he's a light user. That's great considering it's a 3000mah unit.
This A02 should be A02 core and the A02s should be A02. The battery performance will degrade surely unless they put a bigger battery, and that'll make the phone big and heavy and unsuitable for old people.

To give context, this is sold for less than USD $80.
It's aimed for students (elementary schooler and such) who simply need a phone for Zoom school stuff.
It is NOT for gaming or such. Just for social media and online meeting needed for remote school stuff.
It's pretty popular considering usually sold in monthly installment , so parents only paint $6 a month or so with the data plan.

Sounds more like a Galaxy A02 Core than a regular A02, maybe even an A01 Core rebadge.

Tried the samsung a10 in the store as was looking for a basic 2nd device.
The phone operation was terrible and the battery very small so gave it a miss.
Now they make v2 even worse, how is that possible.

We know they're not aiming the high end with phones like these, but come on... A 28nm chipset in nearly 2021. Not even the low end deserves such a product. Insulting.

But not everyone around the world can afford a phone off contract. Especially poorer and more economically oppressed countries and citizens buy these spec phones. Its a huge seller for Samsung. It just doesnt show in the headlines
