pg, 18 Dec 2020That purple one with gold accents looks horrible. Yes, that is indeed a horrible combination. Looks very weird. Could they not have used silver instead, or pink or white or any other relatively reasonable? I am a big fan of violet and purple, and that is probably the worst combination with violet I've ever seen. Even a darker shade would have been better but why light flowery violet with the gaudiest shade of gold. Makes absolutely no sense.

The only thing left is hope that the leak is fake....

The camera bump, in my opinion, is great. I think it can help protect not only the camera lenses but also, partially the back panel.

Anonymous, 18 Dec 2020It's the usual 3D bezel required for "bezeles&quo... moreWrong, wrong, wrong!
              Where did you read that?
the only place where an oled needs to be bend (but not necessarily) is the bottom part where the flex cable sits, just like the iphone implementation,
The display is always glued to the glass on top of it.
Flat or curved doesnt matter an oled panel doesn't need any aditional edge protection like the lcd needs on order to keep the backlight, the defuser, polariser and the panel all in one unit.
The plastic frame around the display is there just to stop the hit forces from the chassis directly to the glass.
There are many types:for phones with removable backs it is also part of the main frame, around or under the glass just like the p30 pro.
The plastic frame is almost invisible because it is between the chassis and uder the front glass, so basically it has zero hit dissipation from the sides. And the new s21 will have the same design.

The front view genuinly looks like a A series phone

In my opinion, when there is available room, it is better to use it instead of turn it into something unusual.

                  Camera hump is acceptable?
If so, a bit more thick body is also acceptable.

With this dimension, thicker body will make enough space to sport 7000+ mAh battery and also better cooling solution and faster charging with less heat to be dissipated.

Why they do not do that? I have no Idea, as protecting cases are slimmer and sturdier than the past.

Purpur, 18 Dec 2020Whats wrong with the bezel, its so thick It's the usual 3D bezel required for "bezeles" OLED screen that needs to bend downwards at the edges. That round black rubber that covers the edges of the screen is there to protect the bend from taking hits as it absorbs the impact and holds everything together. When they had curved long edges it was not as noticable because it was all the down but it was always there.

I actually really like the look of this but if they're going to do a plastic back at a flagship price I'd rather just get an S20 FE. It'll probably literally be faster seeing as I live in an Exynos market...

Why can't they just make the entire width of the phone of same thickness as the camera hump? It would be top thick so it can't lsip out of your hand and it wouldn't wobble on desk...
