So nope, is not the other way arround as you seem to claim. You probably have fallen into the gimmik market, but not everybody did, so take your head out of the box and think again. Nothing that is free of charge is free, and nothing that is from amazon or google, facebook and sometimes apple, are things people need. A great exemple would be alexa, an AI nobody needs, but all the m'''s want. Marketing is good, so yeah they might get 30€ for the small piece but make 200000€ for the user, if that does not bother you, well, you will realise the problems that come after when is to late.

I don't really get where the attacking of Google regarding data comes from, yes Google collects data and it runs its company of the value of that data, this is nothing new.
15 years ago, if you offered anyone the opportunity to have Gmail, Google Maps, Google Search, Google Photos, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Keep, Android, WearOS all for FREE but you just need to allow Google to collect your data, they would have bitten your hand off!

Second best search is duckduckgo but still cannot come close to google.
That consumer protection clause over there is just for show.

"will allow its users to choose whether Fitbit-related data can be accessed by other Google services" ... This is the workaround Google will exploit.

What about the rest of the user outside EEA? And how do they classified EEA user? By device purchase origin? By gprs location? What happen to my EEA brought device when I go outside of EEA?
