AnonD-17682, 21 Aug 2012Is there any other company which gave ICS update to afforda... moreJust because others don't act correctly doesn't mean you have to get satisfied with sony that does half -correctly.. The point is you have an 18 months agreement that you phone will be updated. ALL companies should keep to the agreement or you can take them to court. There's no comparison between sony and others, because ALL should be keeping up with the agreement.

Just updated to .587 firmware (with factory reset). Huge improvement. The launcher seldom dies and contacts app works like a charm now. Lag is now minimal. Gud job. Even Gingerbread lagged a bit, so im happy with this update.

I´m stuck with my ics update in my xpri mini pro. I start the second stage. Take off the usb, turn of the phone, turn it back on. put the micro usb back in and press the volume down at the same time and nothing happens. What can I do. Can I update through the phone like in symbian?

This is awesome! I love ICS but there's a few quirks that need to be improved. I also heard that 2011 Xperias (but not Play) will get Jelly Bean at some point afterall:)

Everyone complaining about the jellybean update for 2011 Xperia, y don't you people just compare your phones with 2011 samsung galaxy line up (leaving s2 n note) didnt you people get much more than you deserve??? Other manufacturers ignored to update their own flagship phones to ics n u losers aren't happy with it on your mid n low range phones???

What I believe is if you want update for longer periods then you should go for flagship than some midrange of low end device!! Seriously man just compare it with other manufacturers na!!

Many of my friends are regretting that they went for samsung, lg n htc phones. They are feeling jealous of you Xperia users n you people aren't happy with what you are getting??? What would've you be doing if sony had your phones isolated as samsung did??? There is no guarantee that the galaxy note would be getting jb!! Stop whining n acting like losers!! Grow up kids!!!

                                        Great news!
My Arc was really unstable at first doing all sorts of odd and unexpected things, then it suddenly got more quiet and after I deleted some apps I really never used it got quite OK.
Still, with first ICS update it was unstable in terms of speed, sometimes it was lightning fast, others more slow even if there where enough resources to him to work.
Really waiting for this one to see if this gets fixed.
One thing I don't like about ICS the animation and the time between you hit the apps drawer icon and the actual app drawer opens used to be much faster than ios although less eye catching now it is all nice and smooth and... SLOW!
Till this day very happy with the way Sony handled updates, bit slow but they promise and deliver, not like others... give us JB and we will have that nice cherry on top of this delicious Xperia cake!
