prime example is the horrendous a42 5g that has the worst specs outside of the processor

There's no Qualcomm chip on the 600 bracket that fits the 5G on a budget theme of the A22. Unless Samsung is using the yet unannounced Snapdragon 4xx 5G, the Mediatek Dimensity 700 assumption is right on the money.
