LOL! Samsung losing market share pushing HDR10+ just so they don't have to pay a $15 licensing fee to Dolby for Dolby Vision. First it was HDR, then HDR10, now HDR10+. Next it will be HDR10++ Almost as good as Dolby Vision this time. We promise. LOL!

          it's either 8k@60hz or 4k@120hz not both.

This just reminds me of Nokia doubling down on Symbian! I didn't buy a Samsung TV this year because they don't support Dolby Vision. I settled for a Hisense.

It doesn't matter what advances in science, medicine and technology mankind has ever achieved or in the midst of achieving! The world as we know it, is about to come to an end! Please read Luke 21:26 thru 28

AnonD-923722, 30 Dec 2020Most companies uses dolby vision and HDR10. Now is samsung ... moreThese are just marketing standards like IP ratings. Not having it doesn't mean the product doesn't support the features. Also Dolby Vision is a paid certification while HDR10+ is free

Purpose is simple HLG conversion from the source including non HDR one's get adoption to capabilities of HDR display dynamic HD

Great. Just when I hoped Samsung would finally cave to offering Dolby Vision on its sets it looks like it's doubling down on HDR10. Guess I'm getting one of those new LG QNED TVs in 2021.
