Weekly poll: the Xiaomi Mi 11 is the first S888 powered phone, but is that enough to want one?

03 January 2021
The faster chipset enables AI-based video night mode - an improvement, even though the camera is mostly the same.

Xiaomi had its peak. They are only upgrading specs now, the innpvation is gone.

Will wait to see what Mi 11 Pro has to offer.

The phone vibrates when it have 50% volume and above... and QHD + 120Hz has bad battery life also the power sipping snapdragon 888 which overheats like an ex 810 when playing games......

Damn Xiaomi, can't you make a flagship with flat screen and 6.2 - 6.3" screen?

Mi 11 camera is good but still a trash compare to mi 10ultra... I wish mi 11 pro would a better or at least the same camera in mi 10 ultra.

I will wait for oneplus 9 pro . For sure a better choice 😜

Whatever phone, mid range or hi end 800-1400euro, if there is some without 5x camera, what kind of phone is it.
150euro phone got tele camera, multiple 350euro phones got 5x camera, some are also with powerful chip, just what is this phone value, brand name of mi11?
For those who just want 888 soon and not at 1400euro its good, but what is the price of tele sensor? For that kind of money and it lack hw worth just a change?

I would love to buy one even without reviews but most unfortunately I can't afford it.
But to me the phone is just fine..... F**k 'em Haters...

They setup with good intentions, but stumbles anyway with curved screen and lack of top speed details throughout the whole architechture.

With flagship focus all the newest tech should be implemented and eye on every speed related detail should go first.

Networking is no magic, only numbers!!!

I voted "No thanks" because I am waiting for the Mi 9T Pro and Poco F2 Pro successor, hoping it only improves on them by adding the new things the Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro will get and not removing things.
Meaning keeping the pop up, the Jack, the IR, flat display, and NFC.
The ONLY alternative to pop up camera I truly want, except for entirely no front camera what so ever, is Flip Up and the underdisplay camera alternative Samsung came-up with and that GSMArena strangely was the only one to not talk about :

Smartphones above 500EUR, when cheaper phones have become so much better than they were 3-5 years ago? No thanks.
A 300-500EUR phone has almost the same features like a 1000EUR one and is just slightly less powerful in day to day usage. But costs 2-3 time less.
Why buy an expensive phone then? Maybe if you absolutely need some of those special features, but how many people really need those? And most importantly, how many people are willing to pay so much money just for couple of extra features? I am not.

Considering the Pro is gonna have a 52mm and periscope, it should have had the 2x or 3x instead of macro.

Looks like a phone from the WishApp.
Too bas Mi 19 Ultra is not available globally.

Chinese manufacturers sure care about being first at everything but when it comes to software and general support they all are last rankwise.
