ipad mini specs are similar to ipad2. same resolution of ipad2. Then why did they announce it when ipad3 and iphone both have a better configuration. :(

Sammy will sue Apple for mini ipad because Apple copied Sammy. Hopefully mini ipad will be banned in USA and the rest of the world.
Shame on you Apple for copying Samsung.

i wonder whats the specs for ipad mini ? will it be more better than the ipad 3? i love my ipad 3 so much, i hope the next gen of ipad they will release will be the camera must have a flash.

Skip back to September 2010, when the Samsung P1000 was announced.
Apple said there was "No threat to iPad sales because there is no market for 7 inch tablets". Now look, Apple are releasing a 7 inch iPad because there in fact IS a 7 inch market. Now Apple have the audacity to sue Samsung for stealing their ideas and designs. When the P1000 came out it was one of the first of it's kind. All other tablets that were commonly available to consumers were a larger design. Apple call themselves "innovative" yet they are blatantly jumping on the 7 inch bandwagon to try and claim back some lost market share due to real innovative devices.
And this is why I will never use another Apple product in my life.

This is going to be another crap gimmick from Apple to get more money of the public. Its going to be like the ipad but a scaled down version of it. *YAWN* Try some new design Apple. I am sticking to my ipad 2 it still works great.

Talk about copying. Samsung basically made the market for 7 inch tablets then Apple saw Samsung doing really well and now jumping into it. Why don't they be original like they say and create 6.75 inch tablet. That is definitely original. Bored of apple and their over priced products and over rated products.

-good headphones: 2 x 1500 mw = 3 watts input power
-usb sound blaster asus xonar: 2 x 90 mw output power
-nokia n91 with harman kardon: 2 x 55 mw output power
-iphone4,4s,ipod touch 4th gen,ipad 1,2,3: 2x 40 mw
-samsung galaxy tablets and smartphones around: 2 x 20 mw or even 2 x 15 mw for cheap androids
regardless software eq software like my tunes pro by srs labs, you must have a powerful amplifier behind the scene. and only apple have the most powerful amplifiers, samsung and the rest are very very low. my tunes pro overheat the device and drains the battery in only 3 hours.useless!!

Anonymous, 27 Aug 2012iPhone 5 is just a bigger iPhone 4S...and iPad mini is just... moreall tablets are in fact huge smartphones without earpiece for audio call no matter they are motorola,apple,samsung. not only apple. only galaxy tab 7" have earpiece and is the biggest smartphone on the market. samsung note, galaxy tab range and all tablets in general are useless in my opinon. i prefer a smartphone with 4-4,5 inch maximum and an 13" ultrabook asus or macbook air for airplane and travel. personally i use an iphone 4s and macbook air 11" with i5,tablets are only merketing gimmicks

iPhone 5 is just a bigger iPhone 4S...and iPad mini is just a smaller iPad. So where is the innovation in this huh? Apple if you claim you are the best do something NEW!! Arent people tired of this same hardware looks and OS looks? Am done with Apple, who control people on how to use thier iDevices through laptops and iTunes...Now after all this what next apple huh?..Apple means PRISON and Android means FREEDOM to use how i want my device i bought with my hard earned money. Before apple customers will find out that Apple got nothing else to offer,they all would have been iFooled!!!...Peace!

There is no competition for iPad. Neither for Nexus 7 but nexus 7 is just a baby at the moment, lets re-evaluate this in a years time.
I am an android user myself, happy android user but i have also been an iPhone (original) happy user with all its problems that it had back in 2008-2010.

As an android user, I must say that the iPad still has no equal. Perfect piece of kit. The 7" device with 3G/4G will be awesome. The desktop is dead, and the laptop may soon follow.
