I bought a Galaxy S10+ with 512GB of storage (Chinese model) for a couple of reasons:
-Best SoC at the time, with great power consumption
-Good amount of storage, and expandable so I can always carry my music collection on an SD card
-Guess what. The SD card is also a good way to back stuff up if there are issues with my phone
-Headphone jack. I got great wired headphones with replaceable wire. I've had them for the last 5 years or so and they sure can take abuse, and they don't need charging. They sound great and I'm keeping them.
-Unlockable bootloader (with the Chinese version)
I bought a phone with the intention of keeping it for many years, so it had to be good and to do exactly what I want it to. Seems like the next one will not be a Galaxy. The biggest deal breaker is the lack of expandable storage.
You're not going to force me to use the cloud. And you're bot going to force me to be connected at all times. My data is mine, not yours.

Loyal Samsung User for as long as I can remember. I got an S6, S7, S8, S9 and S10+. There are a list of reasons I didn't go along with the masses to Iphone.
Samsung, you have slowly chipped away at my reasons for continuing to be a loyal customer. No headphone port and no SD card slot? Seriously? I was just about to purchase the new S21 ultra till I read that.
It will be a certain departure of my loyalty if those 2 things don't come back in the next future version.
I will either find a phone that offers those things or just switch to Iphone. There is no reason to go with an Iphone me too.
I am a content creator. I take alot of photos and videos and need regular access to them. I currently have the S10 plus with 1 TB internal storage and an SD card slot. This is an excellent combo for all the apps and media I have on my phone. I can easily switch out my SD with content while on the road and I don't need wifi/internet access to cloud to get to my content or worry about cloud security issues and limitations. Why would you take that differentiating factor away from loyal users?
You added 8K video to your new phone that will take up more memory but cut your internal storage capability in half!🤔 Hmmmm.. that makes absolutely no sense at all. I will wait till thenext generation is out. If these features aren't back, Bye Bye Samsung you lost a very long time loyal customer.

I have been a Sony Experia user and was thinking of changing to the Samsung galaxy s21. Since finding out it has no micro sd slot I've now decided to stay with Sony.

Bullshit! I have sweared up and down for samsungs sd flexibility...i keep 5phones worth of data on my 1tb sd....you lost a customer! theres other solution out there. Had S5 S7 S9 S10+

I always stayed with Samsung rather than iPhone BECAUSE I could change batteries and add storage. Same as others... Bye bye Samsung. And I've used, only Samsung for 20 years. I wish they would read this. They're getting greedy... Disappointing

I was a Sony xperia user.
I left sony and become a Samsung user because Samsung gave me all I want.
Basically customers have the power.

I will return to Sony because they learn their mistake.
No sd card is a deal breaker
No 3.5 pin for headphones is a deal breaker too.
Bye bye Samsung.

My wife Galaxy s9 needed upgrade. Decided on s21 due to the promotion sales in place. At store asked for the location of the SD card. Not available in s21. Reverted contract and stay with old phone. Cloud based storage does not work where there is no signal and having to go back and forward for music is not my cup of tea. Sorry Samsung. Try again!!!

Samsung S21 series without micro SD card slot? You are becoming greedy Samsung. Taking freedom to choose extra memory from your clients is step back-words. I am buying chinese equivalent with micro SD card slot. You lost another client. Bye bye Samsung. Welcome Xiaomi Mi 11.:)

You've got to be kidding.
The features of Samsung are what kept me from going over to Apple. Now, what's the difference? You've literally taken away everything that set you apart from Apple. Why would I not just get an iPhone now?
This was a VERY stupid move, Samsung. Not everyone wants to use a cloud-based storage for their personal information. Time and time again, it's been proven that it can be hacked. Can't hack my SD card if it's on my desk and not in the phone.
I'm very sad to say, for the first time, I will be an iPhone user. Sad, sad day.

I need to make sure my personal data is not stored in some 3rd party money grubbing entity cloud storage. My data is mine, not Microsoft’s OR Samsung’s.
I have a 1/2 PETA byte personal storage. In duplicate. I buy more as I need it. Synology, Qnap, Asustor, HP and in duplicate on Seagate and WD drives stored elsewhere. I have never, ever, given my data to the 'Cloud' in more than 35 years. My data is mine and dates to 1984. If Samsung thinks my family pictures and movies belong to some third-party entity I have to pay for, F' them.
Micro SDs and SDs in general were/are my solution to storing MY DATA on MY SYSTEMS.
I will find another solution.

I used to be a Motorola guy until they lost their SD card now I'm going to be and ex-Samsung guy. You have a large fan base because you were different than I-phone. If you are going to try to copy I-phone. I am just going to buy an I-phone or find a new phone with SD...Your loss
