Considering Ericsson is the only non-China supplier for network wireless in China, 10% of China is big for them, it is make sense that Ericsson try to liaise Swedish government. 10% China is bigger than 50% Swedish also most of developed and geographical big country tend to pick Huawei. Ban will benefit Non-China vendor in europe, but other region surely will pick the cheaper, which is Huawei.

As especially if your "Doing research" means browsing the web. The internet is now filled with so many crazy ideas and ideals that no matter what you search, there's a group that shares that view.

Just like a phone, sometimes no matter what kind of reviews, you need to use it in person to understand. Note, sometimes reviewers have their own agenda to like or dislike a phone.

Ericsson is indeed doing this for their own self interest. Faster adoption means more sales for them. I don't mind slower adoption if it means China doesn't get a kill switch on our infrastructure.

No wonder. Huawei owns several patents for 5G networks (probably near half of them). Without them any future development is close to impossible. Even though we just started commercial use of 5G, they are already testing the next generation, as the first in the world. CEO knows that they need them, just as Huawei needs Ericsson. But the politicians keep saying "no", even though they have no evidence for that.

Ericsson is deep in CCP pocket now. CCP have let Ericson to enter Chinese 5G market and most of Ericsson's profit comes from China market. But it's not just by free market design it's by CCP strategy design. Ericsson 5G solutions is not so performant as Nokia 5G and even it is inferior to HUAWEI, but it is cheaper than Nokia because Ericsson heavily depends on Chinese supply chain and even Chinese military. CCP lures companies into China by offering it's market and then trying to reach political goals with soft blackmailing when those companies are very dependent on Chinese market or workforce or supply chain. Nokia left China and does not play there. Just check Ericssons , Nokia 2020(Q1-Q3) reports. Seems Ericson's is now desperate and probably is being softly blackmailed by CCP. Ericsson is a hostage company and it will be used by CCP to regain HUAWEI dominance at least in EU.

Good, anyone with any knowledge on Huawei knows what their true intentions are. Read about the backdoors that were found and how they claimed they are there to give customers the best products.

A rational person using logic will understand that for your business to thrive you need competitors because to deliver infrastructure and networks it's shrewd business to admit you cannot deliver every service and every product in the supply chain.

Competitors will help accelerate the normalization of the technology and it will become a win win situation and they too will require your services for areas they cannot serve.

Unfortunately politicians have chosen to politicize the open free market in hopes of cheap reelection tickets. But the truth will always rise up and win. Truth has already spanked down Trump and his cronies, and it's only a matter of the time the worlds is cleansed from that nonsense.

Do get activated by the propaganda.

Simple If Sweden doesn't overturn Huawei ban.

Then China will ban Ericsson which won 5G contracts to operate in Huge cities like Shenzen.

Ericsson CEO just called Swedish Telecom minister as a Coward lol.

In other news, Huwaei was allowed to set up networks in Germany, which is one of the biggest telecom markets, and Brazil says they won't ban Huawei and instead will give permission bti operatte there.

Looks like Trump shit came swinging back to his own face.

Anonymous, 05 Jan 2021finally, an company who likes competition, i like it. There's a reason Ericsson is doing this. Probably to reduce the chances of a backlash in China, which accounts for a lot of their revenue. However, it's still good Ericsson is trying to help Huawei despite them being rivals, good for the competition too.
